New member here, and I need some help.
I have a six-year-old female cat named Chen that I like to refer to as a "micro-panther" because that's what she looks like. The vet identified her as being a Bombay-mix and she's quite the character: affectionate and downright possessive of me, but avoidant and borderline hostile to other people and cats.
I recently moved in with a friend who has a cat of her own and Chen's not exactly comfortable with either of them. She'll come up close to my friend, then scamper off the instant my friend looks at her, but Chen will be territorial towards her cat. She'll eat his food (if we let her), hiss at him, and a couple of times it's almost come to blows between them. It's been over seven months since we introduced the cats to each other; HER cat seems fine with Chen, but Chen is still antagonistic and territorial.
What should I do to try and change this?
