My cats Graycie,Bella & Max were mentioned and I was surprised not to see Sami( or Sam) on those lists unless I missed it

Timmy I didn't expect so I was not surprised by that- though I usually call him Baba or Bobby because I nicknamed him Babaloo ( From Lucy & Desi).... I didnt know Babalu Aye was a god in Santeria .... so I'll stick with Bobby Lou

Fun topic- can we share why or how our own cats got their names tabbytom tabbytom ?

I guess that there are more names to this and is not listed. There were some threads here that members were asking what names to give to their cats.

I saw this was for 2024 and so I thought it would be an additional list to what was already posted.

How your cats got their names, here's the thread :- explain-your-cats-name.410585

I was surprised to see both Daisy and Phoebe mentioned. I didn't choose "Daisy", it was her shelter name, the only one I've kept, because I'd fancied using it eventually.

I've never used colour or silly or pop culture names for my cats. Not my thing at all. They've all had "human" names.

Not surprised not to see my cats names - can't imagine naming your baby "Shorty" and for sure not "Heathen"...if you did I can't imagine the kind of nursing home they would choose for you.

I doubt Monet, Dali or Rembrandt would ever make a list. Or even Picasso- though I call her Cassie, and I thought Cassie would have made a list.

As for the birthday naming thing.. I got Senor Skittles lol.
And as a friendly warning, never give that answer on facebook or anywhere you don't know people. It's a clue to stealing your identity and critcal information as they have your birthday information.

Rhett----named after Rhett Butler from Gone With the Wind. It was either going to be that or Professor Higgins from My Fair Lady.
Penguin---that was what his foster mom named him and it totally fits him. Although I sometimes call him Pop Up or Pengy

Before these two furbabies I had a grey tabby named Misty. Spur of the moment decision as soon as I saw her creating havoc in the shelter. She would disappear like the mist when in "trouble". :flail: Miss you, Misty Kitty....

Growing up I had a white polydactyl cat named Bonnie, which means sweet spirit. :) :) Absolutely the most affectionate loving cat ever. Always woke me up in the morning with snuggles and kisses.... Miss you, sweet girl! :heartshape:
