Weā€™ve had snow all day, but maybe an inch total. Next week, the really cold temps are coming in. :cold::cold::cold: The girls spent the afternoon in bed with the electric blanket, all three of them.

*Long, drawn-out heavy sigh* Soā€¦it took me two hours to set up a Samsung account on the bedroom tv this afternoon. Two hours! Iā€™m not stupid! And man, the muttering was getting nasty. I went from ā€œCreate an accountā€ to ā€œWe donā€™t have your email on fileā€ to ā€œWe already have that email address. Please use another emailā€ and back to ā€œWe donā€™t have that email account.ā€ For two hours, I went in circles. I finally threw my hands in the air and walked away. Came back to it after dinner, changed my password a dozen times, and finally got it straightened out. I also had to set up the voice function (bixby or Alexa) on the bedroom remote. There was not a lot of cussing, just the standard, ā€œI HATE SAMSUNG!ā€œ a hundred times. Itā€™s ridiculous that I had to set up a Samsung account, just to add apps on the darn tv.

So then, I put MAX on the bedroom tv and, while I was at it, I put it on the tv in the living room. I had MAX on the old bedroom tv with the Firestick, Now Iā€™m watching the rest of the Penguin while on my iPad. We got a good deal on MAX back in December, so I got rid of Discovery+ for the time being. We still have Prime.

Samsung wanted my email address. MAX wanted my email address. Rick said itā€™s no wonder people get hackedā€¦.emails are all over the place!

Mollipopā€™s pills are so tiny that weā€™re able to put them in her FF Medleys and she gobbles everything. Thankfully.

I did a load of towels today.

1. I shoveled the 2" of fluffy snow that accumulated overnight at 11 AM on the patio, driveway pad and the pathways from the woods for the feral cats, the birdfeeders and to the compost pile.

2. A repeat of #1 at 4PM plus a path to the mailbox.

3. Refilled the feral cat dry food bowls and 4 portions of wet food.

Woke up last night. Maybe gassy stomach? Whatever. Very painful. Took some pepto bismol, felt better. Back to bed. lay down - and it started all over again. Repeat three times with intervals of worshiping at the porcelain throne.Laying down seemed to trigger things, O.K. if sitting / standing even better so I gave up and got up, got dressed, went downstairs. Pause at downstairs throne. Went to sit in the recliner. Domino joined me. And we napped for maybe three hours. At which point I went upstairs and back to bed.

Slept in (Himself fed the boys so I could get up late) and all has been good. This morning I took chocolate chip cookie dough out of freezer and baked a tray. Washed a couple of loads of laundry, dried, folded. Ran dishwasher and put dishes etc away. Etc

No idea what triggered this event. It has been multiple years since the previous time.

Neighbors 14 year old son is here filling upstairs and downstairs wood racks. Very important as Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday are supposed to drop to bitterly cold, single digit nighttime temperatures.

And that's what my night / day has been like.

It's snowing. And from the looks of the supermarket when I went there this morning it is indeed a bread and milk storm. Though people were also filling their carts with all sorts of groceries. I did indeed get bread - thinking of French toast. Also eggplant and zucchini, mushrooms and a red pepper. Honey crisp apples, mandarian oranges, and bananas. A package of Premio hot and sweet sausages.. And other things.

Of course before I left this morning I also tended to the cats. After I got home and put cold things away and hid bread in the oven so Mr Poe can not carry it off to the dining room, rip the bag, sample the bread - anyhow after that I refilled the two suet cake holders for the birds, filled the feeder that holds suet peanut pellets, and threw a goodly amount of squirrel food - corn / peanuts / sunflower seed - into the flying saucer feeder and on the ground.

Young man from next door in back filling the basement wood rack he had not quite filled before he had to leave on Friday.

The man who plows our driveway has been notified that Himself has a 9:30 a.m. doctor appointment tomorrow, and he will be here early, to plow.

And it is snowing.

Floaters do not, I believe, disappear. Your mind becomes adjusted to them and no longer "sees" them.

Driveway was plowed before we got up at 7:00 a.m. Had left a check (made out to cash) in envelope taped to garage door. Snow gauge shows about 5 inches.

Temperature when we got up was 11 degrees F outside the front door. Looked just now and it showed 10 degrees F. That's the wrong direction!

Striped bed, sheets in washer. Leaving in 45 minutes so will get them into dryer before we leave. Will wait to build a fire until we get home from doctor appointment.

We had around 4 inches of snow yesterday, so nothing to get excited about. Rick went outside and shoveled around a bit as we didnā€™t want snow on the sidewalk and around the cars to freeze in the bitter cold thatā€™s coming.
  • Two loads of laundry
  • Vacuumed and swiffered
  • Cleaned the bathroom

:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: Just sayinā€™. We bottomed out at -6 last night. With wind. Our high this afternoon was 18, with a bit of sun.
  • Had my Keytruda treatment and oncology appt today. Everything seems to be ok. My numbers continue to be stable; potassium and sodium levels are excellent! Creatinine is stable, but still on the high side. I donā€™t know what else to do to get it down. At this point, Iā€™m really low, low salt. I do eat a potato once in a while and I enjoy tomato in homemade pizza sauce. But I no longer get nauseous that often and I can actually drink a glass of water in the morning without getting sick. I drink about 70 ounces of liquids now daily without nausea. I guess thatā€™s good news.
  • Came home and changed bed sheets.
  • Finished my Samā€™s list for tomorrow.
  • We put more suet out for the feathered kids.
  • Mollipopā€™s meds came today. I gave her a pill at dinner time and weā€™ll start the transdermal meds tomorrow morning

Molliā€™s meds come in an adjustable tube. We just open the tube, adjust the dosage, and put it along the inside of her ear. Right ear in the morning, left ear at night. Easy. Sheā€™s getting 1/2 can of Fancy Feast three times a day, along with dry for snacks, as much as she wants.

We were down to -10 this morning. C-c-c-cold. I think we got to 15 this afternoon.
  • Hit Samā€™s, our local Giant for what Samā€™s didnā€™t have, and the hardware store for water softener salt.
  • Put the dirty sheets in one pile in the bathroom and the girlsā€™ blankets and pillowcases in another pile for tomorrow.
  • Iā€˜m hoping for a semi early night tonight. Didnā€™t sleep well at all last night. I usually turn the tv off at 11. But Rick likes it on until 1 or so. I toss and turn til he falls asleep, then I can turn it off. But he tosses around a lot some nights with his hip and itā€™s hard to stay asleep.

IzzysfureverMom IzzysfureverMom Aw, poor Izzy. I hope her UTI clears up soon.
  • Had my cardiology appt this morning. Everything seems OK. And then Rick and I went out for breakfast.

Thank you Winchester Winchester Izzy definitely has some stuff going on with her now having a UTI plus this herpes eye virus that we have been trying to get under control for over a month. I am happy your drs appointment went well.
