Tomorrow I'm getting a lot of pet supplies. Bird toys mainly, but also backpack straps for my birdy travel cage so I can take Vortex, my White Capped Pionus, for walks, too! I'm also getting a brush cleaning bin...a friend of mine needs it badly and I was gonna surprise her with it :)

Yesterday I wrestled all morning with a tank sprayer, actually two tank sprayers because I broke one trying to open it up and had to go buy another. Me and mechanical directions do not work. It took well over an hour to get the new one assembled and working properly and then I didn’t have the energy to go spray the weeds. I did get it done this morning. Today also did miscellaneous other household tasks, like cleaning the microwave and fridge and washing cat bedding.

he is a beauty!!!
Thanks! You should see them in the sunlight. BLues and coppers and white and reds. If you think Vortex is gorgeous, you should check out the Blue Headed Pionus! It's a pity they're so rare in the pet trade. They are not as flashy as many of the other parrot species and as a result, not as many are being bred :(

He is beautiful- reminds me of my George- he's a Yellow Fronted Amazon....
George was with me from when I was in high school until I moved to Florida 42 years ago.....he's doing very well and will highly likely outlive my friend who adopted George from me.....Last time I was in NY ,maybe 10yrs ago he was very happy to see me and I him

My career left little time for George,it wasn't fair for him as he was very used to being a constant companion-my friend was his baby sitter and she's crazy about George & he's crazy about her and her family- I still miss him though

Tomorrow I see a guy about getting a second cat. After that, NO MORE ANIMALS. I already have a cat, a dog, and 3 parrots. **Whistles innocently** But there's always room for one more kitty, right?
I don't know,I know I'm out of room with my 5- I thought I was out of room with 4 so I added a ton of vertical space for them all....

I thought you were going to wait a couple of months, what changed your mind if I may ask?

I came across an ad for Omen and I decided it was now or never. I couldn't find a breeder and this guy looked promising. :) Plus Omen was a local cat. No shipping expenses! :D.

Disruption! A large crew is here to install French drains and a sump pump inside our very cluttered basement. Being people of a certain age Himself and I are staying out of it. Allowing them to move all the stuff, tarp, tape, excavate etc.

Moved cats litter pan upstairs to bathroom - they have found / used it. Moved some cat food (24 cans of Tiny Tiger) upstairs - hopefully enough. If not (no idea how many days of disruption to expect) I will go and buy . . . something.

Off to IGA for milk, coffee, Klondike bars - stay tuned for updates.

Went down to the doctor for a recheck of my hand / finger. It's doing ok. Left more then an hour before my appointment. Place is 30 min away but between traffic, accidents and rain made it right on time.
Confirmed my ENT appointment for vertigo and ear pain issues for tomorrow. Unfortunately it is when work traffic will be on the road.
Got home fed Izzy, took a nap ( sitting up ) as I have been having trouble sleeping.
Just need to figure out dinner and if I can maybe read.

Ear plugs, should have gotten ear plugs! Sawing through concrete is VERY noisy. Mr Poe is very casual about all this, surprisingly so. Domino is invisible. Put his lunchtime meal in my study and shut the door. Didn't see him but contents pretty much consumed.

Crew of 14! I only had 8 frozen blobs of chocolate chip cookie dough. Ehh, what to do . . . Each blob makes one large cookie, which bakes for 11 minutes, reverse cookie sheet and then bake for 4 minutes longer. I cut each blob in half, checking weight on kitchen scale, then baked. Had to twiddle with timing but it all worked out. Must have, as what I got back was an empty plate.

Supposed to let concrete cure for 4 weeks before putting heavy items - freezer, storage racks etc - back on top of them. This could be interesting . . .
