Rain early in the morning so we did not move a cart of firewood

To Wal-Mart for this & that - bananas, Ivory bar soap, A&W root beer, bird seed - black oil sunflower seed & peanuts, and other stuff. Assume store will be crowded tomorrow thanks to holiday weekend.

Otherwise, nothing major just the usual - feed cats, feed us, scoop litter pan, etc.

Went out of town for the day yesterday to see my favorite person in the world(Cuzzy Mikie) and his wife so 10hrs of a good time plus driving there n back has me pretty tired today .... Did all normal chores but I don't really see myself doing anything extra today

I even slept longer than usual so started routine late....Numero uno before I even wash my face is litter boxes, then water sources, feed babies then take out garbage (:which includes Sami on his leash) then we feed the birds, feed the squirrels and may or may get Bella or Max or both leashed up and they play around out front - not today, just Sami

Then I clean the leaves and tend to the landscape beds - I skipped today,It'll be a lot tomorrow but - oh well

I had intended to be at knitting all day today, but Phoebe changed that last night by having a bout of diarrhoea with what looked like traces of blood in it - not enough to be sure, but enough to get me on the phone to the vet (thank goodness she did this about thirty minutes before they close). Got an appointment this afternoon, so left knitting early, got home with just time for a coffee, bundled a protesting Phoebe into her crate and got her to the vet, where her doctor cooed over her and did all the checks, including the sample I'd got, and was sure it was an IBD flare-up, nothing worse. Her tum was soft and comfortable, her heart rate fine. Great relief all round!

I hope Phoebe feels better soon. That is always scary when you think you see blood.

Fortunately she seems fine! Her poos are back to normal consistency now. She didn't act at all ill - appetite fine, playful as usual. She's snoring under the bed at present

That is wonderful news catloverfromwayback catloverfromwayback . So it probably was an IBD flare up and that happens when they have IBD.💜💖💖💖

Rain last night so no firewood trundled around this morning

Himself decided today was the day to back up my computer. (I had asked about this, maybe a week or so ago.) I was going somewhere to pick up something so he started maybe 30 minutes after I left.

Well! Computers are not my area of expertise so I have no idea how long this is supposed to take. Spent some time talking with friend, came home, and it's still backing up. Then, after everything was backed up it had to check the backup. All told, maybe 4 hours? Himself says it's because I have so much cr*p on my computer. I think he means pictures. When he backs up his computer it doesn't take anywhere near as long. He also doesn't have anywhere near as many pictures so maybe that is it.

While all this was happening I folded laundry, ran the dishwasher, moved 4 pots of dormant oxblood lily, Rhodophiala bifida, out of the greenhouse to get rained on. That will awaken them and bring them into flower in less than a week. Previously I moved all the pots outdoors at once. Decided to try sequentially, to enjoy longer period of flowering.

And then I took a nap.

Yes, exactly! The vet said she recognised it from my description - it was tiny traces and not bright red, more a terracotta colour. Phoebe's never been prone to those flare-ups, which is why I didn't know what was happening. She has a fortunately very mild type of IBD - indeed it was never a 100% certain diagnosis despite all the tests and exploratory surgery she had when we got her. She's never had the vomiting or diarrhoea, she just couldn't gain weight. But the horrendously-expensive RC Anallergenic is great for her, she hasn't even needed Prednisolone since she's been on it and is up to a whisker over 4kg these days (3.85 used to be her best when she was on hypoallergenic food).

Still haven't cleaned the bird cages. Good thing the birds don't care! HOWEVER

1) I Managed to order a baby gate with a cat door for the dog and cat, cat/dog treats, and some catnip.

2) Cleaned the litter box thoroughly, much to puddles delight

3) Loaded the dishwasher and did garbage. Now to bring them out!

Our little Zoey did occasionally get tiny amounts of blood. She had been under treatment for years and she was 21 before it was really an issue. But I know you are relieved that it was nothing more serious.

Had my Keytruda treatment yesterday, came back home, and crashed for three hours. I thought I'd have trouble sleeping because of my nap, but slept well.
  • Breakfast for the girls, made our coffee, and went back to bed.
  • Scooped the boxes
  • Changed the cartridges in the printer, so Rick could print out some stuff for his fantasy football meeting this afternoon. He's having dinner there, so I get a night off from cooking.
  • Clarence and I are going for a drive this afternoon.
And I don't plan on doing much of anything else today.

Wash bedding and towels
Relax for once on a Saturday
Pick up Pizza Hut for dinner
Need to add some stuff...

Had to change out my outside decorative flag from Summer to Fall.

Need to stop by Ace Hardware on my way to get dinner and pick up a new American flag and maybe another Fall kitchen towel. Our current flag is looking a little faded.

Yesterday was;
Vacuum,
Wash counters
Dump all my trash, including recycles
Wash clothes
Picked up my mail
got an iced coffee in store
Read a good amount in my book
Seriously missed Geoffrey--- missing not having a cat in my life.. sigh

Today:
not much
Took stuff out of bathroom for cleaner; got her stuff out. She uses my cleansers
Wrote out a few bills, Rent & down to mailman who was there
iced coffee
went over the readings for Church tomorrow morning. I am the Lector.
Put some dry clothes away
Changed calendars
Sat on butt waiting for cleaner to finish...Why does it take her 2 full hours to clean my tiny bathroom, and my teeny kitchen floor!!! I know she goes on her hands and knees for the floor; but, seriously, 2 hours!! There is a lot of tile in the bathroom, but still!! I keep it up, in between her visits... In fact, I just did a quick clean up this week!!
Good thing she is not expensive.
Put things back into bathroom, after cleaner left.

* Was on Facebook this morning, it is my cousin's birthday. I went to his page to wish him a happy birthday. Shocked to see he is in the hospital on the heart transplant list. He is 8 years younger than me. He has had cardiac issues for many years... sigh....adding him to my prayer list.

I was going to wash some jackets, fleece things, to get ready for the Fall, but I was so lazy after she left! Just sat here watching TV and looking things up on line..
So, a 'wasted' day...

Yesterday the only things I had planned were going to the fish and chips lunch being put on in the dining room (bought from a very good local shop) and doing a knitting project I had to work out from scratch. That went to plan, but the evening was disrupted by a power outage. We've had huge windstorms sweeping the state for the last few days, and about 6pm all the power went off. Wasn't just us, either, it went from the far west of the state right into Melbourne. The power supplier was sending texts saying they knew and were working on it within a few minutes, and fortunately it only took a couple of hours before it was fixed - they'd estimated twice that.

I had a lazy day myself- much like yours only no one was cleaning-I tried a few times but they really spend too much time for my liking and I'd not mind someone taking twice as long as I can do it if it was twice as thorough but I'm always going over mirrors- mirrors and glass is what I'm fussy about but they just can't seem to do them well plus they never put things back where they belong so I'm better off $$

Got nothing accomplished.... Timmy likes that though,he likes me in his favorite spot staying put petting him ❤

Add vacuuming to the list. I guess I am not that good at relaxing.
