Three of the TidyCat 35 pound pails of litter were delivered yesterday. Himself unpacked from shipping cartons and moved them to the basement. Today I transferred their contents to the older (yellow) pails with a one piece lid. Do prefer those to the hinged, non-removable lids they arrive with.

Then emailed the woman who comes and takes the empties. She responded to my Freecycle offer back in ? 2018, maybe 2019. I've been e-mailing her directly every time I have another 3 (about every 6 weeks) and she always wants them. I do wonder what she does with them.

This morning Himself moved another cart of firewood from over by the driveway to the adjacent to house storage area and stacked it. Winter is coming, don't ya know.

Either the force of gravity, or the raccoon, or possible both acting in concert tipped over the concrete bird bath and a large, empty terra cotta pot and its base. Nothing looks damaged but needs taken care of. Think I will decide on a different location, get the hand truck, and move them both.

Smoothies, I think, for lunch. Yogurt, milk, frozen banana in a Magic Bulllet. Delightful in this summer weather.

That sounds like a lot of work C catapault ! We are in the midst of a downpour so indoor activities only. Threw in a load of laundry before rowing and then into the dryer when I was done. I really need to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors and switch out towels in both bathrooms so I may do a load of towels and clothes this afternoon.

Last week was really busy. Lots of medical appts going on and lots of outside work. It was just one thing after another after another. Glad that week is over. By the end of the days, I was so tired, I fell into bed.
We were in the Phila area for my sister's retirement party on Saturday. My niece and nephew threw the party, so we all drove there. It was really nice and we had a great time. We were all outside by the pool all day. A very nice day.
Our son came up yesterday and will be going back home on Tuesday. He's sleeping out in the WeShed. He just left to do some fishing and will come back later on this afternoon. The Grands wanted to come along, but they both had to work. I think our grandson will be coming back up in a couple of weeks to help Rick with another border wall, this one at the top of the driveway in front of the fence by the pool.
  • Two loads of laundry
  • Get the crock pot beans in the crock pot for dinner tonight, make the apple pie for dinner tonight. Need to make broccoli salad. Rick will make his hamburgers.
  • A quick vacuum and swiffer about the kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Fleet Farm for peanuts, Sam’s club for coffee creamer and mowed the back yard. 81% humidity so I will wait until evening when it cools down to do the front. While I was out I also picked up some paint samples for my new chairs. Once the garage stops beeping at me I want to get going and get them done.

Stripped our bed and washed / dried sheets and pillow cases

Assisted Himself as he reinstalled a plant shelf in my greenhouse that fell down a while ago. My "assistance" consists primarily of standing around to hand him a washer, a nut, a pair of pliers . . .

Cat food from Chewys delivered today so every time I go into the basement I carry two of the 36 can boxes of Tiny Tiger. Three trips / 6 boxes.

Took images of the two pots of red spot bananas from a bedroom window / second floor. They are outside on the deck. Pleased with the results. Do you agree?

Now need to update the BelleWood in Bloom / July entry on my website. Thirteen images edited, need to install, write captions / text , upload.

We had a massive storm yesterday evening and I have lots of branches to pick up this morning. Then house general cleaning and picking up groceries for dinner tonight. When my son comes to dinner he usually wants childhood favorites, normally super easy things to make. Tonight he asked for tuna burgers and chips.

While he is here he will get the new battery in the garage opener.

I want to reinsulate that cat flap insert for the patio sliding doors with new weatherstripping- I'm winding down and losing motivation after the morning chores, running to the ATM and store with Sami so maybe it's a good day to dye my roots on this haggard looking head instead!

It is a beautiful day today, perfect for working in the (now non beeping) garage. The plan for the day is to get both of the thrift store chairs I recently bought sanded this morning and if I have enough energy, the first coat of paint this afternoon.

Chair looks awesome Kwik Kwik .
Thanks so much @susanm9006,I hold your opinion in high regard, you just made my day!

Please take a before n after of your chairs,I'm sure they'll be beautiful .... so your son put in the new battery? Must be really nice not to hear thst beeping ,lol .👍

Even nicer you don't have the issue of opening the door manually. That is a pain!

Yes, battery went in easily. I am 5’0, son is 6’2 or 3, so it was a piece of cake for him. Will do on the chairs - I already have before pics.

Yesterday Himself and our intermittent handyman moved clothes washer out from wall and replaced water hoses. Today I did laundry. I have a suspicion that hot and cold are reversed. Will need to find owners manual and check rinse temperature when cycle is set to warm wash. I think rinse should be cold. And it wasn't.

Yesterday evening there were five raccoons of various sizes scoffing up the seed I throw down for them.

Having bought the wrong hose repair gadget (male) I forgot to bring it with me to Wal-Mart to return it today. Bought the correct (female) piece anyhow. Now to ask Himself to cut off damaged end of hose and replace it with the repair widget.

vampiric_conure vampiric_conure that's what kind of bird it was! Green Cheek. I remember now that you said it. I fell in love with that bird. Like instant love. I also met a canary once and it said, "Eep" to me. I was struck by love then, too. I wanted to buy it so much, but I have worries about my cats. Or, more specifically the bird. My RB cat Redman would literally sit on top of my fish tank. He couldn't get in it, but I know a little somebody that could if I still had it. Yes, it's Bob! He reasons things out. I can see the wheels turning in his mind. My girls would probably wait for an opportunity to take my bird.

I also worry about a bird's respiratory system. Do you have to be careful about what type of cookware you use?

Today I've had kind of a bad day with my back. My leg throbs like a toothache. And the air feels so "thick" here. About time to hit the inhaler. It's hard to breathe. Sorry, I don't mean to complain.

Kwik Kwik if I had a stool like that, I would keep it all to myself. I love it! ❤

catapult catapult will you get bananas 🍌 off the plants? Even if you don't, they are really pretty!

Yeah, there are many things to worry about when you have a bird! Cookware, stoves, and even stuff like incense and scented candles are dangerous. I do burn incense, but it's beside a window and the birds have an air purifier beside their cages.

And don't worry about 'complaining'. I hear ya about it being hard to breathe sometimes. I have asthma, too!

That's my eggplant frying stool- lol I never do just a couple of eggplants because they are alot of work so I pull up my stool for 2 hrs

Graycie is not pleased- the suede must feel very different than the old velvet microfiber she tore up......she jumped up ,got a fright and doesn't want to go back up......

Having said all that it is part of today's tasks- familiarize Graycie with her " stool"

Plumbers supposed to come by this morning so that sort of leaves me idle..... maybe I'll weatherstrip the patio cat door thingy after all
