Cut my hair this morning. I just had it done a few weeks ago and it seemed okay at the shop but since have realized it was very mullet like - short (fine) on sides and way too long in the back. So did a Covid cut using a wide barrett to gather up the back and then cut off what stuck out, about and inch and a half. Hair looks so much better now, probably a little uneven in back but not where anyone would notice.

I ended up deep cleaning my room and cleaning both ceiling fans yesterday afternoon so I may just do some
thrifting and shopping today.

  • I have a urology appt this morning. He will let me know if I'm OK for surgery. I don't think I am as there's still a lot of stuff going on. But we'll see.
  • Call the nurse in Nephrology to talk about the mentioned "stuff". Sorry, but I don't want to talk about it here.
  • The girls really, really need their claws clipped!

Working on my procrastination list. Prepared a ”Transfer on Death” document to file for my house so that when I pass it will automatically transfer my son without going through probate. I will take it to be recorded this week. Also made an appointment to establish beneficiaries for some accounts that don’t have them. Updating my computer folder with instructions for him. It’s not stuff that you enjoy thinking about but necessary at this point in life.

Also did an unenthusiastic mall walk. Waiting for the coming thaw do I can walk outdoors.

After my urology appt yesterday, we walked around furniture stores, looking around to see if anything tripped our trigger. We found two really nice Catnapper rocker recliners that we really liked and they'll be delivered next Tuesday. Now we have to figure out how to get rid of the couch in the living room as the delivery guys only pick up what they dropped off. Meaning, they're delivering two chairs, so they'll get rid of two chairs, not a couch. Kind of stupid, but OK. I thought Rick wanted to wait to get chairs, so I was surprised when he said, "Oh, hell, let's do it!" And we got quite a bit of walking in to boot. So the walking was a win for me. I was really tired til we got home, but it was worth it.
  • Breakfast for the girls, emptied the dishwasher, made Dear Richard's coffee, and went back to bed.
  • Got back up in an hour or so and changed the bedsheets.
  • The girls still need their claws clipped. We didn't get it done yesterday.
Rick is bowling tonight, so I'm going to take my iPad to bed and watch Expedition X. And call it an early night.

Went and got all my legal and property stuff done. Took most of the morning - the bank was quick but the the county property records office was incredibly incredibly slow. I stopped on the way back for a fast lunch which is something I almost never do but it was my reward and finished with the pet food store for cat food.

Having a soft drink now and then heading down to row.

I was thinking the same thing. In the end it’s just a wood frame with cushions and padding that a sawz all can cut up. If they won’t take it in two pieces then cut it down more and take it to a dump.
That's what my cousin did to get my old couch out- it wouldn't fit through the interior door he built as a second door to prevent door dashing out the wider front door to the house..... sawed it into pieces and out to the dumpster- easy peasy👍

Woke up at 2:30 and never went back to sleep until 7:00. The girls were all cuddly and purring and they would take turns coming up to me (I think) to try to talk me into an early breakfast. Didn't work. Anyway, it's 10:00 and I'm up now. I hate getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom because I don't fall back asleep very quickly. The hazards of drinking a ton of liquid every day.

We don't have the kind of saw to do saw the couch apart. And both ends are recliners, so it's really heavy. I'm working on trying to find somebody to haul the thing away.
  • Three loads of laundry; Rick already did the first two, so I'll do the third.
  • Run down to Giant for meds; as soon as we got home yesterday, they texted me to tell me I had meds. Bleah.
  • Start working on a Sam's grocery list. Hazel is due for inspection and the Hyundai garage is very close to Sam's. We can wait for her to be inspected, then run over to Sam's for groceries.
  • Call the other garage to set up something for Clarence as he's due for inspection, too.
  • Hit the freezers in the basement for ground beef (tacos tonight), sausage links (sausage sandwiches Friday) and a pork roast (roast pork on Sunday). Kept the ground beef on the counter for now and threw the pork and sausage in the fridge.

Winchester Winchester - one more thing to try for that sofa. This is how we got out my sofa that had recliners at both ends. Flip it on its back and look to see if there is a metal rail at the bottom. With mine there were bolts that held the three pieces together. we took the bolts out and easy as could be it converted to three separate pieces.

I did odds and ends this morning, a beautiful outdoor walk, paid bills, did financial stuff and turned the new snowblower into an official girly machine. After my struggle starting it last week I added some pink nail polish today on certain knobs and parts to help me remember what needed to be turned and in which direction. With this year’s weather it may be next winter before I have to use it again.

This morning Himself went to health center for his annual wellness visit.

While he was gone I swept up the never ending bits of fine debris that comes from moving firewood. It was, over Tuesday night, down to 9 degrees. So yes, almost never ending fire in the wood burning stove.

Mopped kitchen, downstairs bathroom, upstairs bathroom.

Shortly after he came home (all was well) we went off for our Thursday lunch out, this time to a Mexican restaurant in town. I had chiles rellenos, my favorite. Very good.

Afterwards, a quick stop at the IGA where I had them make a wrap. That will be his lunch tomorrow while I am off at PT.

And that's been my day so far.
