Very cold and windy day today.
I did not sleep well last night-- it seems to be a habit!! :livid: I could not fall asleep in bed; got up. watched TV
until I was dozing and went to bed around 1am.. Woke up to noise outside, just after 6am. Dozed again, kept hearing banging outside.. dam deliveries. Finally got up after 8am

*late breakfast and stuff
* medicated Geoffrey--- who almost immediately threw up his meds... sigh
~Cleaned above.
He refused breakfast; ate good last night, played this morning.. but... no breakfast
* It was a chemo day.. but I skipped today due to the vomiting, and will give it to him tomorrow.
* regular morning stuff
* Ran out for a couple of errands... one did not turn out.. so at least phone call tomorrow.
* couple of brief phone calls.
* not hungry for supper: just a slice of cold pizza... and some peanut butter crackers. Had yogurt for breakfast.
* Gave Geoffrey his mirataz, since he has not eaten much today. Vet approved...
* read homework for tomorrow nights class.

Can I just comment and tell you how very much I admire you?You have alot on your plate caring for little G,this I know very well and what I love most about you is that you don't have pity parties & never skip a beat- no doubt this attributes to Geoffrey doing so well with what he's going through- he could not have a better, more loving & POSITIVE atmosphere!Plus you always take a moment to see how others are doing...... God Bless you artiemom artiemom ,keep leading by example ❤

I really do not know what to say.. I am speechless.. I really am.. You are more than kind to say this... Are you sure your brain is functioning properly?? :flail::flail::flail::hyper::hyper: just kidding. Thank you so much for this. I guess I needed it.. It is my early Christmas present.. Thanks again..

I do not consider myself a 'postive' person; I usually see the negative.. I guess I am just now at my old age, trying to be more patient and accepting of things.. I love Geoffrey, he is my 'baby' cat. He cannot help it. Neither could Artie.

Guess, it could come from the fact that I have been a caregiver my entire life... parents, patients at work, all my kitties.

Chilly night, still chilly this morning. Himself turned on the auxiliary heater - it's infra-red - inside the generator housing last night, to keep the oil from getting thick. I didn't think of it last night but this morning I asked and he installed the auxiliary electric heater in my greenhouse (glass to ground, bubble wrap on the inside, 8 feet by 18 feet lean-to) - it's mounted at the opposite end from the regular heater. Not that any of the plants are tropical but too chilly is not suitable.

Need to get fuel for my nicely energized (new battery) car today. As long as we're in Flemington at Costco will make a stop here and there for this and that.

Have not yet put out any holiday decorations. Himself doesn't care one way or the other and I'm feeling somewhat lackadasical about it. Maybe. Maybe not. I'll see.

The first year I had to explain things like you need to use actual measuring cups for flour and sugar because using a glass liquid measuring cup for flour isnt quite as exact as cookies require. She has learned a great deal but still has a way to go so every year I go over and basically have a baking class while we make different kinds of cookies. It’s an enjoyable day that we all look forward to.
Before Covid, my son and granddaughter would come up for a cookie day. DIL wasn't amused about taking our granddaughter out of school, just to bake cookies, but she dealt with it. We also got together for granddaughter to learn how to make yeast dough for pizza, sticky buns, easier breads, etc. I'm really hoping to get back to baking with her, but it will have to wait a while. That girl is going to be a very good baker. She loves to bake, but hates to clean the kitchen afterward, kind of like her grandmother.

Another cold day; it was in the teens when I got up. I think we finally reached 24 now. It's supposed to warm up again, says the weatherweenie.

Busy couple of days, but better days ahead.
  • Breakfast for the girls, made coffee for Rick and me, and am running the dishwasher on Express now.
  • Threw one load of laundry in washer, switched to dryer, then folded and put away.
  • Medical appt this afternoon
Still did not get the tree decorated.

Grocery shopping this morning and picking up another Amazon package. Still waiting on one package and it may give me an aneurysm. It was supposed to be delivered to an Amazon locker on Sunday. Have received updates three times a day since saying ”no locker available”. Then yesterday evening I checked its status and it says “locker still not available so delivered to home, left on steps/porch”. I go outside with a flashlight, check both steps and surrounding area and no package. I contact Amazon and they said I have to wait until tomorrow to file. One hour later though the package status has been changed to delivery pending and if it doesn’t arrive by tomorrow they will refund. It’s not an expensive item but sheesh.

Lots of groceries to put away and then I think I will spend time on my puzzle.

Busy day, again!
*Quick morning stuff
* G's chemo day... so, meds.. and meds...
* meeting at 10 am
*meeting at 11 am
* got a phone call yesterday afternoon, from a friend--- elderly, does not drive-- asking me if I would take her to return an item she purchased at Marshalls. I said yes, but not until this afternoon.. She wants to go out for an early supper, also....
So busy day.. It would be kind of mean to say no, because she is 90 years old, and helps with the Mass in the building. Plus I did refuse her a couple of rides in the past because I was very busy and tired.
I could take her next week, but I do not have much planned, as of now... and I want to relax for a few days..

Did not sleep well last night.. forgot night guard the past couple of nights.

Let's see . . .
kitty litter arrived from Chewys yesterday, transferred to my preferred tubs (the ones with a lid that is one piece, can remove rather than the sort-of-hinged lids they come with.) E-mailed the woman who comes for the empty tubs. She'll come this afternoon. I checked my emails - and she has been coming for the tubs since 2019! I do wonder what she does with them all!

This afternoon I will visit my friend with the fantastic vegetable garden to deliver the empty shipping cartons from Chewys that have been collecting in the garage. With yesterday's 3 I think there is about 10 or so. She uses them under mulch in the garden.

I am having a stupid problem with one of my 3 g-mail accounts. Other two O.K. but cannot send or receive mail on that one. Getting nowhere trying to resolve the issue myself so when I finish my coffee I will try to call Google and see if they have a - hopefully - simple answer.

And tomorrow I will go to the living history farm, where Santa and Mrs Claus will arrive on a steam traction engine. Here are a couple of images from a previous year to entertain you
