After a busy period - including a day's training at the hospital (hospice work helping those who want to end their lives at home), I now have time to list three things to do today. My new kitchen is being installed so I, and three cats, are keeping well out of the way. Woolly Bear is unfortunately determined to oversee the work and, if I am not careful, will trip somebody up - preferably not when he's carrying a heavy piece of equipment into the house.
So, what can I accomplish while sitting in my small spare bedroom/made-do kitchen/office:
Wordle and Nerdle? Done those!
Cook? I'll wait till the end of the week when I can use a proper kitchen!
Work at the surgery? Perhaps I'd better stay at home today, I don't want to leave the two workmen in the house alone with the cats, who may escape out of the open front door.
I must accomplish something:

I must accomplish something:
- Phone the social worker at the hospital. I managed to visit on Saturday: it was a sorry picture, my partner is weak, but wants to come home. He won't get out of bed! Not exactly compliant so he can't possibly come back to my house.
- Vacuum? The living room is full of boxes - it's April showers here so I moved the furniture against the walls and told the men to put the cabinets for the kitchen in there. No point in cleaning until they are removed. The three scaredy cats are in the bedroom so I can't clean there either!
So, as alternative: I'll write an e-mail or 2 and try to contact a friend who had tried to contact me (during MY crisis) and now I've found out she is in hospital. Another reason for a bad conscience! - I'll do an easy job - throw out the piles of old newspapers and magazines my partner has stacked up since last October! Looking forward to that.
