I am jealous that you have a freezer. I live in a condo so I have no freezer except in the fridge. It kills me when I can't take advantage of sales. On the other hand One of the country largest farmers markets is 15 min away if there is traffic and they are CHEAP ( for the area at least)

I think Rick is going to work outside this afternoon, if it doesn't rain. While he's working, I'm staying in the house to finish up the laundry and get some work done in here. We're both going to be busy. I didn't get everything done yesterday that I wanted to do because other things happened.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, stripped the bed and put fresh sheets down, scooped the boxes
  • Sorted laundry and I have the second load in the washer right now
  • Didn't get the house cleaned yesterday, so will work on that this afternoon
  • Manicure tonight. Cutting my nails down a bit and will polish them

i'm 'jealous' of that!! :D

do you have room in your condo, for either a chest freezer or an upright freezer? maybe a closet that might be converted to house a freezer?

today i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, and likely use the wood stove to take the chill off the house at some point.

i've moved a package of Lil Smokies to the fridge to thaw.

i'll spend some time with my budget later this afternoon. and will give my three their monthly flea treatments today. i'll take the two cushions for their Woolrich beds out of the dryer (one had gotten a hairball on it the other day, so i washed both cushions), and put them back in the beds......:kneading:

after that, i may play some computer games for a while. then maybe something on tv.

Ok, I'm tired of this. I started in with a headache on Monday and by Monday night, the only thing that stopped me from going to the ER was the $100 co-pay. The pain was that bad. I figured that I could go to the ER and beg them to shoot me up with morphine; that's how desperate I was. I'm so tired of dealing with headaches. I was off work and in bed, pretty much all day yesterday and even went back to bed last night around 5:00 and stayed there. The good news is that I lost two pounds from not eating much and from spending about an hour on the bathroom floor on Monday night. I am at work this morning, but it's still there. Not as bad, but it's there.

Two doctors, two allergists, and a migraine specialist who refused to deal with me because I am not incapacitated by migraines for more than 15 days a month. While I have the headaches, I really only miss (maybe) one actual day of work a month, sometimes I just come into work and deal. But still, I don't like taking off and I'm sure my boss isn't amused by it either. While we automatically receive ten hours of sick-time every month, that really doesn't mean that I can take a day off every month.
  • Breakfast for the kids, went back to bed until 6:45 when I got up and got ready for work. Sorted a couple piles of laundry on the hallway floor.
  • Trash night tonight
  • Laundry night

Winchester Winchester I am so sorry you are dealing with this again. Sending you hugs and get well quick thoughts. I hope somebody can help you. The only suggestion I could give you is try gluten free diet. I don't know if that would help or not, but it could.

Catch up on paper work.
Dust furniture.
Go by Merle Norman makeup store. Time for a change.

Thanks blueyedgirl5946 blueyedgirl5946 I do feel better this morning, pretty good in fact, although still really tired.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and went back to bed and slept until somebody roared down the road on his very loud bike at 6:45; thankfully he did....or I might still be sleeping! I took our pork shoulder roast out of the freezer this morning and stuck it in the fridge to start thawing for Monday's pulled pork sandwiches. It's a huge hunk of pork!
  • Stopped for gas for Clarence on our way to work
  • Must scoop boxes tonight
  • Do some weeding, esp in the front flowerbed. We're starting to feel like we've moved to a tropical rain forest with all the moisture we're getting around here. The weeds are really growing and it's hard to keep up. (Note to self: Must find my kneepads; they're around somewhere)

today i put the window AC unit in the upstairs window -- it's forecast to be about 80 degrees F and higher for the next 4 days. i washed the dishes, scooped the litter boxes, and took the scraps bag out to the trash. i also moved a jar of mandarin oranges to the fridge to thaw.

i went to the produce auction this week and brought home one item, an 8-pack of Kemps Very Vanilla frozen yogurt pints for $3.50. there were a bunch of other items that i was interested in, and some that i bid on, but they sold for a higher price than i was willing to pay. :dunno:

TGIF!
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, made the bed, and grabbed a shower
  • Hair appt tonight, for a root touch-up and a cut. Not a trim, a cut. I'm thinking about six inches or so :sigh: And I'm more than a little nervous.
  • Scoop the boxes

today i've made a phone call. i'll wash the dishes and scoop the litter boxes in a while.

it's forecast to get up to 86 degrees F today, and is currently 81. :sigh: i turned the AC on around 7am this morning. so i'm not going outdoors today, and i've already gotten things involving outdoors done for the time being.

i'll work on my budget for a short while this afternoon. then i'll watch something on tv, and enjoy a quiet day with my cats. :catlove:

  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher
  • As soon as I've finished my morning coffee, I'm going out to the kitchen to make two loaves of swirled rye bread. I really like rye and so does Rick. A new recipe, so I hope it works out.
  • Errands: banking (but I forgot to pick up my paycheck at work yesterday :doh2:, so we'll have to do that next week), Target, a couple nurseries and greenhouses in the area to check on trees. Re the paycheck, I usually do forget and our Admin Asst has to remind me to pick it up. She was out yesterday and I forgot. Lately, if my head wasn't fastened to my shoulders.....
  • If we get back before the t-storms begin, Rick is going to trim the yard while I do some housework.

Never mind the yard work; it just started raining.

After our early morning rain on Saturday, it was a beautiful day, but really hot and humid. Rained overnight and is drizzling a bit now; today promises to be more of the same. Which is good because things really do need to dry out a bit.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, put two sticks of unsalted butter in the microwave to soften
  • Making rolled sugar cookies this morning
  • Rick stripped the bed down and put linens on the bed. The flannel sheets are going back into the closet until the fall. He said he'd scoop and will also vacuum later on this morning.
  • We'd like to get out into front flowerbed to weed a bit, depending on the weather.

Today I sat on my butt all day, but I did do things while sitting. I have been trying to transfer some crochet patterns into a word document and it is taking forever, so I worked on that for most of my day, then I made a buffalo chicken dip for the hell of it, and lastly I did some prep for a family movie night at my parents' house on Saturday. Since my parents built their new house a few months ago, my mom has been adamant that we have themed movie night parties. This time it is my turn to choose so I chose the movie Clue. I was originally going to go with Space Jam because I own it and I thought it would be completely unexpected and ridiculous, but I was struggling to come up with food ideas to fit the theme.

Back to work today (darn it). I seriously considered taking a personal day today and working on some outside things, but well, I might need that personal day later on.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and grabbed my shower
  • Must run to Lowes tonight
  • Scoop the boxes
I've been binge-watching Younger, a show on TV Land, primarily because they've really been hyping up the new season and I got curious. Figured I'd watch a couple of the episodes on OnDemand and then, before I knew it, I saw the Season 4 finale last night. I don't know that I'll watch Season 5; maybe I can wait til the whole season is finished and then binge-watch it later on.

We got the elm tree planted last night, just in time for the rain this morning.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, made the bed, grabbed a shower
  • Scoop the boxes
There's not much on our agenda for tonight. We might mow the yard if it stops raining and the grass can dry out a bit. But they're calling for scattered t-storms, so we'll have to wait and see.

The girls had us up bright and early this morning. I gave them all breakfast and everybody's sound asleep again....even Rick.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, made the bed, and am drinking my coffee now. Rick will scoop when he gets up from his nap on the couch.
  • Make a lemon meringue pie and a coconut cream pie for dinner tonight (we're visiting with friends and I was asked to bring dessert)
  • Run errands later on this morning: bank, Target, etc.
