Hi all!
I’m adopting two wonderful kittens who are brothers, but I can’t seem to find suitable names for them. I’ll show you the short list I have so far:
Jax, Kai, Quinn, Cobi, Oliver (Ollie), Colby, Theo, Cole, Jace, Kaleb, Xander, Zane... this is all I’ve got as of now. I write science fiction and short stories in my free time, so these names are mostly leftover favorites from naming characters. I liked them and thought I might as well compile them, but I really want to find a name that fits my kitties. If my writing process has taught me anything, it’s that I spend considerable time and effort to find a name that fits. :p
If anyone else has any ideas, they’d be much appreciated!
Here they are :lovecat::

A Arianna2 those names are awesome! I like how they go together.

On the subject of going together, maybe names like:

Jack and Sparrow (I personally think the darker one looks like a Jack, maybe a Jackie, and Sparrow for the lighter one)

Sherlock (dark) and Watson (light)

I love the name Oliver, I could see the darker one as an Ollie! Or maybe Olive.

I’ve always liked it. We’ll see if the rest of my family is on board.

Still no luck finding a good name.
Anyone have a suggestion?
I’m not so sure about matching names... I’m open to them, but I feel like I want to find two names that fit them individually and yet sound good together. Like Cole and Marmalade (cats who have their own YouTube Channel). I liked Kai, but it got shot down. Oliver is still an idea.
I just want to find the perfect names, and I have no idea where to start.

They’re a flame point and a seal point (I think), so maybe there are names related to that?

AmyTheKittyMommy AmyTheKittyMommy - Æther [Αἰθήρ] (God of light) and Erebus [Ἔρεβος] (God of darkness) were both male - two of the five Primordial Gods of the ancient Greek civilisation. Since they're both male, and since one's light and the other's dark....

Hey - what are the chances that you'll ever run into anyone else whose cats are named, "Æther," and, "Erebus?"

For the flame point....I adopted a kitty named Kai. For me it was too short, husband suggested Cayenne and it stuck ! I always spelled it Kayenne, she was a sweet kitty put with a spicy attitude.

Cayenne pepper HOT -> flame point ?

That’s so cute! I’ll see if my family will approve it being added to the list. :)
Currently two members are pushing for the name “Percy”, which I do like, I’m just not sure if it fits. We’ll see.

How about some Scandinavian names...

Beck (derived from old Norse for "stream"= bekkr) for the blue point, and Arne (derived from old Norse name for "eagle"= arni) for the flame point.
:)

Those are good, too! You guys come up with the best ideas. I’ll put those on the list.
So far the favorite for the seal/blue(?) is Percy. I’d like to call the flame point Jasper. But we’ll see what the family thinks.
