ChichisMom- generally, seahorses that are taken from the ocean to live in captivity do NOT do well. That is why most aquatic stores (mine included) only sell CB (Captive-Bred) seahorses. They're born in captivity and pretty much know no other way, so they can usually live longer in captivity than wild-caught seahorses would in their natural environment
.
Oh, I see

What is their natural color? I love the pics of them together holding hands(tails)

Wow! They are awesome!

John & I were JUST talking about getting a salt water tank! I wanted a Clown Fish (Nemo!)

Do you have them in the tank alone? Or with other fish as well?

I love the photo of them with their tails together!

Thanks guys!
We love 'em so much!

Susan, right now we have them in a tank with a bunch of snails (they keep the tank clean) and a cleaner shrimp. The cleaner shrimp is so neat- he gets on the seahorses and cleans them off! It's incredible to watch.
We're going to add a bit more live rock and then a few fish- blennies and gobies. Eventually, we'd like a couple more seahorses, but adding things to a saltwater tank takes a LOT of time! Unfortunately, we can't mix clownfish with the sea ponies
. But if you do start a s.w. tank, good luck and let me know if I can help in any way. It's a great hobby!
