My kitty and Hepatic Lipidosis

My Izzy passed away this morning just before 1100 snuggled and held by her mama.

She was her silly sassy self in the last 24 hours. She was the best I've seen her in a while. She ate, drank, and wanted to play.

My house is empty without her and my other cat could care less she's gone.

I did at home euthanasia and it was the best decision I made. So peaceful, she was comfortable, and the people were amazing.

I also reached out to Chewy because I just had a case of her prescription food delivered and asked how to return it. They gave me a refund and told me to donate it instead to a local shelter in honor of Izzy. That melted my heart.

I'm so sorry Izzy has passed and I agree you did everything you could for her.

When you feel up to it you may want to post in the Crossing the Bridge forum with a tribute and some pics so we can all share your love of Izzy.

I am so sorry to read this. You did everything possible for Izzy and the fact that this thread was started in June 2022 certainly attests to that. She was happy and comfortable in her final days and was with you just as she would have wanted to be.

I believe that cats process passings differently than humans and possibly understand intuitively about illness, so please don't feel sad about your remaining cat's reaction.

Chewy is exceptionally good in these situations.
