My kitten won't play stays curled up in a ball and sleeps a lot. I try and pet him and it is like it hurts him for me when I pet him. What could be wrong?

Many times, kitties act like this when they're sick. I would get him/her to the vet for a check up and to rule out any illness.

Your kitten could be sick or they could have hurt themselves. In either case you need to bring them in to the vet as soon as possible for an assessment. Is your kitten eating, drinking and using the litterbox? And exactly how old is it and how long have you had it?

Just telling you my experience, I had a kitten who suddenly stopped playing and we found out that he was really sick and after a few days had to put him to sleep. I’m not saying your kitten will die, but the kitten might be sick or injured.
Have you been able to get your kitty to a vet?
