my kitten goes to the bathroom EVERYWHERE!

please help!!
my 4 month old kitten is going to the bathroom EVERYWHERE!!! she uses the litter box too but is making a mess all over the house as well. I've tried everything to teach her but nothing works. It's so sad bacause I can't keep her if she keeps doing this and she's such a sweetie in every other way.
Any advice??

I know this will be difficult but you need to confine her to one room to start with. If she uses only her litterbox when only in the one room then have several litterboxes in all of her "favorite" potty spots. Also you will have to clean the heck out of all of the spots with an enzyme cleaner. A black light will show up spots you may have missed. I'm sure the experts will also post soon (I've only had one set of kittens and haven't had any problems with them that their parents have told me about!)
