I do not support animal cruelty but in some cases I do think it is necessary to help people through first experimenting on animals and I am definitely not convinced that these experiments were cruel.  I could not find any website I'd call truly credible condemning the research- it seems to be mostly PETA who I personally do not trust.  The link above is also PETA.  There is no other website that claims the cats head was chopped off.  I flatly do not believe it based on my (admittedly limited) research over the past hour.

In no case do I believe animals should be put second to people in medical research. They do not volunteer and have no voice to say no so therefore it is torture. What a messed up world when there are so many other options.
