SEE! SEE! I knew that Banjo is a little person in a fur coat, and I CAN SEE WHERE THE ZIPPER IS! Right in the center of her chest!

I'm positive for Covid. :argh:
And another candle is lit.

Even doctors a lot of the time do not know that the vax DOES NOT prevent from getting COVID.
Well, here's the thing, in some people it does prevent it, but in those that do get it, it makes the cases much milder. I got curious, and looked up some of the studies. I found this:

"The incidence of covid “cases” in the placebo group was 162 out of 18,325 subjects. The incidence of “cases” in the vaccine group was 8 out of 18,198, or about one-twentieth the incidence of “cases” in the placebo group."

So the vaccine, while not 100% effective in every person, significantly reduces your chances of getting it, and significantly reduces the severity of the disease if you do.

Different day; different pairing of 'supervisors' View attachment 421287
Awwww... suPURR gorgeous suPURRvisors. :catlove:

rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama What a beautiful azalea! I admired my then-neighbors'-now-roomies' white one and had my gardener put one in here but unfortunately it didn't survive. Neither did the white bougainvillea he planted. I wonder if white-flowered plants are somehow more fragile.
For the azalea, I'd lean more towards your hot, dry climate, than the white flowers. But no idea about the bougainvillea. :dunno:

Continuing with flowers from my northern garden, how about some bright and cheery Doronicums, aka Leopard Bane.

There's also a shorter version called Little Leo. She's not doing so well this year though.

Here's a pic from last year. Hopefully I can nurse her back to this again.

Thought I'd post a pic of my new baby azalea.
Gorgeous flowers. I've always loved azaleas but I can't grow them here. And the yellow flowers are lovely also!

Spider in coming!
:flail::flail:LOLOLOLOL!!! Thank you for that.

Oh I am so sorry. Just keep eating healthy food, etc. It is good that you have been vaccinated.
Rest well and enjoy those movies :).
Keep us updated.
Thank you! Luckily, this is very mild for me. Thanks to having had 4 vaccines I believe!!

…what Maria said. one person I know w/ your symptoms said actually, chicken noodle soup IS very comforting. She got through it w/ flying colors. May you too.
Yes! I have chicken broth, noodles, and chicken on hand so I plan to cook some up today. It is the best.

So the vaccine, while not 100% effective in every person, significantly reduces your chances of getting it, and significantly reduces the severity of the disease if you do.
I believe that is happening with me. I'm not very sick, thank goodness.

SEE! SEE! I knew that Banjo is a little person in a fur coat, and I CAN SEE WHERE THE ZIPPER IS! Right in the center of her chest!
:lol::flail::clapcat: Too funny!

And another candle is lit.

This is a nice shot with the dark background. It brings the color out of the flowers.

Dang, man! I was expecting a big beautiful arachnid photo! :sigh:
This is just a warm up............................

Lari Lari Good point! It could be heat rash! Sarah also had a sensitive face and broke out a few times. It passed as she got older.
Very glad you buy Smuckers!

Jewely Jewely Awww! Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to send that! Meowdeling!:flail:Yes, Banjo has had a meowdeling Career. That’s where she gets her money to spend on Froggie! Lol I love that! I think it would be a great gift for your friend. That’s so sweet that you were thinking of your elderly friend. It really does look like Banjo! You know that Banjo has never told me everything about her career so it’s nice to see more of her work. I had to ask her how she spent her paycheck.

I just had to get away for awhile. (The purrparazzi were hounding her.) I went skiing on Whistle mountain.

The press found her there too.

I got paid for Meowdeling ski wear though! Ahahahaha!!
F10E6C23-3697-4271-831C-0C2AEA325AD3.jpeg

Where was I when she did that?!?!? 🤔
Oh. She left her little stuffed clone here to fool me. I should have known. When the cats are quiet, they are up to something!

tabbytom tabbytom Thank you. I am okay. I did experience a low temp but nothing too bad.

Margot Lane Margot Lane Oh. I probably shouldn’t be telling you this but Banjo is a super heroine. One of her super powers is a cloak of invisibility. That is how she manages to steal my phone, credit card and all the cat treats. I know she tells me she has a pilots license but I think she just knows how to fly some she got to Whistle mountain and back before I noticed. I know for sure that she reads my mind. She can also talk to the animals. And frogs. Who knows what else she can do! Lol

Shhh. Banjo is my secret identity!!
EC791B81-C92A-4623-BB11-D909CA26E7CD.jpeg

tabbytom tabbytom She must be using her super powers there. She seems totally calm about the police chasing her. Invisible? Or..... maybe she just has has a police escort!

pearl99 pearl99 Glad you missed the Jif!
The bunny is precious. I bet Banjo would love her! Thank you about Banjo doing well.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Yes! Yay Banjo!

N NY cat man Thank goodness you didn’t eat any! A friend of mine got kind of sick from eating some. She is better now though.

rubysmama rubysmama Just wash that salad good! Happy Monday!!! Oh. Lol Missed a couple of days didn’t I? Lol Happy Tuesday.... Wednesday!!!!:bunnydance:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Banjo and Froggie would love that bunny and I think they could teach Whistle. Lol

Skippy seems to have had a small recall. They offer a refund on their site. I suppose many stores will refund too? I don’t even know which store mine came from because I buy ahead on PB. We should not have to eat bad food or eat the cost.
N NY cat man All the Jif is gone? Uh oh! I opened a new jar that is not part of the recall. I ate some! Oops. I eat it every morning on toast! Maybe eggs tomorrow? 🤢

pearl99 pearl99 I am so sorry! My step sister got the ax and got Covid. I know many who got both. All of them got through it okay. I never stopped wearing masks. I have existing health issues anyway. The vet internist in the city still only does curbside service. I notice most people are not wearing masks lately so there may be an upswing in cases. Others don’t always think about the more vulnerable people out there. Maybe ,like most bugs, humans are building some immunities. Hoping it passes quickly and you already feel better.:alright::hugs: Someone I know with Cancer got it a couple of months ago and she could not take the vax during an experimental drug treatment program for her cancer. She has recovered.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you about Banjo. Also about me being sick with salmonella in the past. It caused long term digestive problems. People don’t realize how it can do more than give us nausea. It actually damaged the lining of my stomach where the esophagus meets it. A Mallory Weiss tear that was a bsd I had no food for over a week in the hospital and did not want any for even longer. My first piece of food was a plain soda cracker and that was too much. I just could not eat for awhile. I got it from eating at a restaurant when my Dad and step mom took me out for my birthday. Lol A gift! By the end of that year I was able to eat a meal. By the next year I was put on a special diet, for life! Peanut butter is one of my main sources of protein. Irony! Lol
Still have you on my prayer list. I have some friends helping with that. :hugs:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Good that you shared with your boss. Doctors learn along with the rest of us.

@rubysmamaBeautiful azalea! Evergreen too? Worth the extra to have some color on grey days.;) Beautiful yellow flowers. Great photo. Feeling the vibes! Thank you!

N NY cat man Different day, different shift! It’s nice to have a whole crew of supervisors. Lol I love the picture!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Good point about white flowers being fragile. I think you might be right. Elvis might be able to tell us! Cats know everything.

@tabbytom:flail::flail::flail::flail::flail::flail::flail::flail:You certainly got me! I got caught in that web. I expected a big one! I laughed! A warm up? Lolololol Some might get a bit too warm. As pearl99 pearl99 said, desensitization! You’re just providing therapy. Right? Lolololololol

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I am so glad you laughed. It helps everything if we can do that. I laughed too! Itsy bitsy spider. I am now in Wednesday but I started this yesterday!

Margot Lane Margot Lane chicken soup is supposed to help many things. ;)

@Mamanyt1953:flail::flail::flail::flail: The truth is out! Banjo is wearing a cat suit! I don’t think she is just a hooman though. I think there must be some kind of Fairy or something in there but she won’t let me undo the zipper!

I am going to be making many calls tomorrow on behalf of another rescuer and on behalf on Banjo so I don’t know if I will be here but…. We have ongoing smiles! It may take more than one post for this. Lol A friend has some baby quail they are going to release in the wild. I sent them info on what quail calls mean. Quail talk. Lol I was whistling a bit of quail talk here in the house and all the cats believed everything I said! Well…..

I hear a Bob White quail!

Noooo. It sounds closer.

Gorgeous flowers. I've always loved azaleas but I can't grow them here. And the yellow flowers are lovely also!
That's too bad you can't grow azaleas there. This is actually my first azalea, so we'll see how it does. Rhododendroms do fine though, so hopefully the azalea will too.

This is a nice shot with the dark background. It brings the color out of the flowers.
Thanks. Sometimes a great shot just happens. :)

rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama Just wash that salad good! Happy Monday!!! Oh. Lol Missed a couple of days didn’t I? Lol Happy Tuesday.... Wednesday!!!!:bunnydance:
After reading what happened to you after the food poisoning, I'm going to start washing those bagged salads again. Happy Wednesday to you too. Though it'll probably be at least Thursday by the time you read this. ;)

I am going to be making many calls tomorrow on behalf of another rescuer and on behalf on Banjo so I don’t know if I will be here but….
Good luck with your phone calls. Hope you don't get stuck on hold too long, but if you do, that they have good music playing to entertain you while you wait. :musicnote:

We have ongoing smiles! It may take more than one post for this.
Awww... it's Muffin. :hearthrob::catlove:

And finally, today's flower from my garden is a pink creeping phlox.

So right, tabbytom tabbytom ! Our CATS are our best friends, but everyone here at TCS is close on their paws, yes?
rubysmama rubysmama Gorgeous! I haven't seen those before. Thanks for sharing them.
Jcatbird Jcatbird I knew it. I KNEW IT! I saw a great documentary on the B2 Stealth Bomber a couple of nights ago and somehow, I just knew that Banjo is one of the pilots of these incredibly beautiful planes. She does not drop bombs, though. She drops big payloads of catnip.

Thank you so much for that, I could use all the prayers I could get. I appreciate that. I hope all is well on your end. Look forward to the Quail pics you will be posting. Sorry to hear you got so sick from food poisoning in the past. You must have been stick thin from not being able to eat normal for such a period of time. The amount of damage it did to your stomach lining is alarming. I used to drink Aloe Vera to soothe the stomach lining after stomach upset. It helped. There is a stomach formula one in the health store with other helpful ingredients for stomach inflammation. I got very sick when I was younger. It wasn't fully determined if it was a stomach bug or food poisoning, but for a whole week I was throwing up and couldn't keep nothing down. Even threw up my own bile when there was nothing else to throw up. 😟 I had to go to the hospital and they took care of me from there on. Food poisoning and stomach bugs are seriously nothing to take lightly. Well, I hope this peanut butter recall gets sorted out. I don't know, but have you tried Chickpeas? They are good for protein as well. Well take care. ❤
