Happy Monday folks. Hope everyone has a good day, and a good week.
Continuing my positive thoughts and healing vibes for Banjo. :vibes::vibes::vibes::bicolorcat:
And hugs for her mom. 🤗🤗🤗

Since I like posting pics, how about some fiddleheads. They're actually a spring delicacy for those who like them. But I prefer them in my garden, than on my plate.

And here's some that have already unfurled.

Oh, they're beautiful! People eat those? I didn't know that. They're ferns, right? So how do people eat them?

Yes, ferns. Not sure if mine are the ones safe to eat or not. I certainly wouldn't take the risk. In fact, I've never eaten them anywhere, but my Mom did once at a restaurant, and hated them. Said they were rubbery, I think.

To cook they can be boiled or steamed.

Here's a page with all you might want to know about the food safety tips for fiddleheads.

TYSM for sharing! If I ever make it to Canada, which is highly doubtful, I'll be sure to give those a wide berth. :disappointed: I'd rather admire them than risk eating them.

Just a teeeny one? Or just one leg?
Nope! I've got enough arachnid stress dealing with the monster that's currently living in my garage window. Don't know which is worse, though. Seeing it staring at me. Or not seeing it at all. :fear:

Jcatbird Jcatbird : sending more pawsitive vibes your way.

Awww, you guys! Spiders scare you because you're legly challenged compared to them (yes, that's a word. I just made it one.) and because they run fast. To escape the big, very scary primates bent on causing mayhem to innocent arachnids who are so beneficial to their kind, if they only knew!
Happy Taco Tuesday back atcha, rubysmama rubysmama -- and yes, that's a palindrome we all love! *I'd make every day Taco Tuesday AND CATurday if I could!*
*PRAYERS* ongoing for sweet Banjo to be wormless and for all at Chez Catbird and beyond to be well!

Speaking of spiders, my husband tells me spiders are good because they eat other insects. If they're small I ignore them and I kinda like the daddy longlegs but if they're big black and hairy I cannot live with them, they have to go outside. 🕷

Sending a heap of special thoughts to Jcatbird Jcatbird and her darling Banjo. :grouphug:

Just here for a minute. I went to retina specialist and everything is a blur. I just want to thank everyone here. Lots of love going around here and lots of beautiful and funny things. No news yet on the meds for Banjo but working on every angle and expecting it soon.Thank you for all the continued good wishes, hopes, love and prayers.
Banjo is in my lap as I type. She sends purrs. I wanted to post a smile. I bought a special treat on the way home from the doc. I thought the cats would be pleased. It’s the chicken they are all supposed to love but I forgot one small detail.

This is chicken from that place?

It does smell like chicken.

Soooo, we are okay with lizards here? All lizards, all the time? Sweet little Anole trying to look like a piece of plywood. Lol A little distance here in case someone I know prefers to avoid lizards.

You can’t see me!

Another anole trying to be a leaf.

What about a big lizard? This is one of my rescues long ago. Iguana.

Iggy. He was very friendly.

I have plenty to show but rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama rubysmama and Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 will unfriend me :(
Never unfriend you...but I might start cringing just a little when I see your name...
Just a teeeny one? Or just one leg?
Not even one leg. Not even one beady little eyeball! MAYBE an empty web, as they can be quite lovely!

To escape the big, very scary primates bent on causing mayhem to innocent arachnids who are so beneficial to their kind, if they only knew!
Oh, but I do know, and I appreciate them...I just cannot abide having to share a space with them! I'm sure there are some in my apartment, but they have the courtesy of never being visible. It's a phobia. It is irrational, or kinda. I'm actually allergic to all spider venom, but the phobia came first.

Thanks for posting. Hope your blurriness clears up quickly. Also hope you get the meds for Banjo soon. :redheartpump:

Oh, I love iguanas! 🦎

Kind of like "where's the beef?" Right?
Now there's "where's the bacon?"

Have a wonderful whiskers Wednesday, everyone!
