The thunderstorm hit us again last night and it stared around 8+pm and lasted till this morning around 6am. Many roads were flooded and some buildings were flooded too. Guessed our monsoon drains helped a little and if there’s no monsoon drains, I think the floods will be much worse.I hope it wasn’t a bad storm there. We got more here but not as bad as predicted. The wind was strong but only branches down. The garden says “Thank you!” Lol I think the garden has enjoyed the rain. It’s on the highest spot here so it hasn’t been flooded. I think it would have experienced some issues if it was anywhere else on the property. Most of the land has native plants but I don’t think the roses would have liked having wet feet. We’ve been lucky so far.
OK, So here is a belated tip for you. Notebooks have a port (all of them as far as I know) for an external monitor or video connection. Today they are mostly HDMI. If the notebook screen is cracked, broken, burnt up, whatever, you can plug a monitor into the port and it will work so you can still use the notebook. In fact you can plug HDMI into most TV's so you could use a TV for a monitor. This would allow you to keep working and or also salvage any files you need to backup. So, if the LED lights come on on the notebook and show it's on but there is nothing on the screen plug in a monitor and see if that works. You are late! What took you so long?.......................................
Very good tip. You are the man (or woman )OK, So here is a belated tip for you.
We have two monsoon seasons every year. The NE Monsoon from December to March and the SW Monsoon from June to September but lately they came early. Looks like pre-monsoon storm, a storm before a stormtabbytom Oh dear! Monsoon storms are torrential! I’m glad the drains are helping. My thoughts and hopes for safety for are with you. Perhaps this next storm will blow past without the rain falling. I will ask all kitties to blow your way and blow the storm off! May sun come in the morning to dry things out. Be safe and dry!
Oh yes, that’s right!Yes, January NEVER has wet paws unless it's from a tongue bath, right?
I much prefer the Flowers kitty, at least in the house, since Demi & Maggie will eat any type of plant.I am the best of all Flowers!
Oh there's my Muffin girl.Get the Muffin first Mom!

Metaphor for life?Perhaps this next storm will blow past without the rain falling.
Metaphor #2? I love the way you speak in metaphors.May sun come in the morning to dry things out.

Yes, I’m on the twelfth floor but a few years back, Indonesia had a huge earthquake and it struck while I was still in bed. I felt the building moved and above me the room ceiling light was swaying aroundI’m glad to hear you are on the 12th floor! I was ready to send you our little green boat! Banjo was willing to come act as pilot for you. I think the crew here could paddle you and January out. Bonjure has a great tiller of a tail! I hope the storms let up. The kitties are watching the wind for kisses blowing past. They will be sure to catch them. Bj is ready! He has his Catchers Mits out.
It sounds like you woke up on a rollercoaster! I love a good ride but prefer it to be a planned event!Yes, I’m on the twelfth floor but a few years back, Indonesia had a huge earthquake and it struck while I was still in bed. I felt the building moved and above me the room ceiling light was swaying around
I thought I was dreaming as I kept looking at the swaying light and enjoying the swaying building. Boy, that was a one kind of a morning wake up ride
Keep the little green boat on standby as the floods may reach the 12th floor and I’ll be waiting for Banjo to come pick me and January.
Kisses to the kitties
These photos are great! I see that they are ship shape ready. The best contingency fur team! You’ll be in good hands, er, paws! On standby and awaiting further orders! All paws on deck!
Kitty kisses received and returned! Look out January. A Clowders worth of kisses is coming!
" Spawn 1"Love it!Back again! My computer was INFESTED with malware (I typed "maleware" twice before I got it right, which is a whole separate issue)! Thankfully, Spawn 1 is a tech person (tech supervisor, actually). He insisted that I install Team Viewer when he bought me this computer, so he could access it remotely and undo anything I did in my ignorance and other such things. I'd have been back sooner, but work calls are running him ragged right now. He says that the phone rings every 3 minutes with "HELP! My conference call starts in 20 minutes, and (insert name of conferencing platform here) program won't load!" This drastic uptake in work-from-home is going to either kill him or make him rich!
Hey strangers! I know the orange boy is Sherbie. But who's that with him? Cheetah, maybe. The Bengal boys are all muscle and love the water so they are being included in the crew.
