The sun came out this afternoon. It’s going to freeze later and rain again in a couple of days. Time to go outside!

Lady has been anxious for a walk. I guess I should have prepared her. Lol She definitely won’t be going far!

It’s about time we visited the garden!

tabbytom tabbytom :flail:That’s a purrfect description! I live under a lovely mountain. The view is spectacular. Lol

N NY cat man
I just noticed that beautiful stripe down Butdocks tail! That’s another adorable feature. I suppose that’s the rudder during flight. ;)

Furballsmom Furballsmom Boatloads would be great! Dry would be different this year. Everything around here squishes when you walk. The kitties refuse to get squishy. Smart kitties!
Stealth kitty just Poppying up? :dancingblackcat:

@Loving Mickey Bravo to you for being so courageous and learning to give the fluids and to Mittens for being so sweet and cooperative. You are gaining quality time and no one can ever give you a real prediction on these things. Sarah blew all predictions by the wayside! Every time! Outlived everything by many, many years. Please keep that in mind. Love and hope can carry all living things far past our expectations no matter what anyone says. I’m always grateful for that. Thank you for kind thoughts about Sarah. She brought light into my world and it still shines for me. The only word needed is love.:redheartpump: It’s something we can all share together.
A spot for Wanda Heart?
:):winkcat: She’s going to love hearing that! I was very surprised to add a little one to the Clowder at this late date but I’m very glad she came. That is a very sweet and engaging girl. She’s made the older girls remember how to play. I did hope to find her a home of her own but perhaps she was meant to stay with the girls. She makes them laugh! (Me too.)
Around here the favorite cat tree seems to be me! This is a young Tortie on the people tree. LolView attachment 323370

@CatLover49 Agreed about January and about Snowball! Truly beautiful!’

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 It sounds like you have learned how to play HopsCATch! Good talent to have!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Oh boy! We both enjoy building whole miniature scenes? I’ll start building here , you start there and I’ll meet you in the middle. I think a few others could come in from the other directions. I built a village that really started as a joke. Selling orchidsmeant I often heard, “ I can’t grown anything. I have a brown thumb.” Okay. I started making miniature orchid sculptures and have them out to anyone making that statement. That left to a greenhouse. I was involved in preserving orchids and doing shows for orchid societies so, I built an orchid village. The whole thing ended up being fun for me and others. Each year I added a 2’ sq. Section to the village. When it was 14’ long and took two van trips to haul it, I quit building. It had a working waterfall in the very last section. Yep! We need to start a cat village!;) A bit larger scale, of course!

Since I can’t clone myself, I need volunteer laps! Any takers? That comes with purrks! .
Yes, Burdocks markings are- interesting? Not exactly stripes or spots, although there are those present. I suppose if I was really curious as to his ancestry, I could have one of those DNA tests done, but- naah he's Burdock, and that's good enough for me.

Elvis is too smart for his own good. I have to feed Baby Su in her room and close the door. Elvis knows that if he stand on his hind legs and pushes the doorknob, the door will open and he'll be able to peruse her food and treat selections. He doesn't stop there, of course. I'm constantly running interference on him. Poor Baby Su!

Lady is GORGEOUS! Not that the rest of the aren't, but you know how I am about calicos, torties, torbies, and calibies (?)!

Hekitty is RUSTING! It's her age, I guess. When she was younger, her fur was a dark, rich burnt orange and a black so deep you could fall into it. Now, she's mostly...rust colored and black, but it's a more faded black. It doesn't feel like you could put your finger on a black spot and fall into another dimension anymore. But she's still the most beautiful girl in the world in my eyes!

Don't we all feel that way about our furbabies?

N NY cat man I already know what Burdock is. Pure love. ;) I do love his markings. Kitty fur patterns are always so beautiful. I think that little stripe must denote a very high ranking! Five stars in cat speak!
They are all our beautiful babies!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Elvis is pretty slick sneaking in! He’s smart but Baby Su is too. Teach her about deadbolts. .... well, maybe not. She might lock you out if you show up with flea treatment.Lol That’s what some of these would do.
Banjo might do it just for fun!:bicolorcat::insertevillaugh:

rubysmama rubysmama Lady is so funny. She loves going outside but NOT getting messy. She was very indignant about leaves sticking to her. How is Ruby doing?

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Lady already has a big fluff ego. Lol Wait until she reads that! She’s going to very smiling! I’m already having to compensate for yesterday with lots of brushing. I’ll have “brushing cat” elbow.

Hek is rusting? Very descriptive! I don’t think I would risk letting her hear that. She might leave rust stains on something you like. Those are “fall “ colors you know!
Seriously though, my kitties shift colors too. I guess we all gray as we go. Our kitties will always be the most beautiful to us and I expect they find their humans beautiful to them. Cat love never fades.

M maggiedemi Approaching things with love is great. We can never have too much love in the world.
I’m sure the sky has kitty stars.
I thought you would like seeing Lady as a star! Lol She worked really hard at getting that door open. She’s smart! When it didn’t open and she looked into the lock, I had to laugh. They surprise me with something every day.

I had a lot to do today and first thing this morning, my microwave gave it’s last effort. It was an old beast and it had served me and many kitties well. Mostly for the kitties, it provided hot water in the morning for my quick cup of coffee so I could better serve my masters and mistresses!! Today I was off and running without it. Lol It’s terrible how much we come to desire convenience. I well remember the days before microwaves even existed. I once heated things over a wood burning stove and had to stoke the fire first! The microwave spoiled me. Of course the kitties liked it because it gave me more free time for kitties. Banjo was quick to order another one. I was amazed at how many models are out now. I was grateful that Banjo is young and can do the research and ordering for me. All I had to do was go and pick it up. I have a very generous kitty daughter. I guess she bought it with her modeling money.
When I went to pick it up, I was met by a huge flock of migrating birds. They were all looking for nourishment for the flight. I could not leave without helping out. I bought a large bag of wild bird seed and put it on the grassy median for them. As soon as I put the first seed out they flew down beside me. I had to divide the seed on several medians because they covered the ground. I was glad I could give them a little to eat. They were all beautiful birds. Safe travels birdies!! The kitties would have loved watching this from the window!

When I came back home I found the kitties snoozing in a warm house. Lol Smokey found a metal chair that has a mesh seat. The heat floats right through to warm a fluff girl. She was soundly sleeping!!! Didn’t move a muscle as I came in. :sleepycat:Catatose.

Banjo didn’t ask questions. She knew she would get a “thank you” gift. She went straight for the bag.

You chose the right name for sure, when you named her Lady. :hearthrob:

Ruby's doing good now, but the vomiting she had a couple weeks ago, ended up happening 2 days in a row, along with some diarrhea, so that meant a visit to her vet. No diagnosis, other than just a flareup of her sensitive digestive system. So I'm monitoring what she eats, and trying to find what balance of the foods works best for her.

When I went to pick it up, I was met by a huge flock of migrating birds. They were all looking for nourishment for the flight. I could not leave without helping out. Oh, look at all those robins! Getting ready to head back my way. That means spring is coming. :yess:

Some must have taken an earlier flight, though, as I saw 4 just the other day. Here's a pic of 3 of them. It was a cold day, which explains why they look all puffed up.

What gorgeous pix, Jcatbird Jcatbird and rubysmama rubysmama ! Of course cats are the MOST beautiful living beings to me and hopefully most of us on TCS, but birds are wonderful as well and those robins! are so beautiful. That could so easily be a card, rubysmama. Right around dusk, I've noticed multiple birds of the same (unknown to me) kind perching in our redbud, which is just starting to bud. It makes a beautiful scene.
We used to buy Drs. Foster & Smith treats, but when they closed, Petco switched us to Greenies and they only apparently have two flavors, the chicken and the tuna. We like both. The tuna is "Smart Bites" formulated to stop furballs.
Elvis is unstoppable and yes, I'm sure that if we had a padlock on the master bedroom (Baby Su's) door, she'd keep it locked to keep out the Big Blue Wrecking Crew. Which wouldn't necessarily be a good thing all the time!

This is not necessarily age-related and not confined only to cats. My hair is black, but a "rusty" black -- and in the sun, it turns a reddish color that you've probably seen in photos of people around the world who have this condition, whatever it may be. Sometimes it is associated with malnutrition and as I did not like to eat as a kid, it may be that in me as well? Black Siamese (black cats with some Siamese genes, often a Siamese mom and a black father) have the same thing. The deep black is most beautiful, but to me, all cats are beautiful/handsome!

Picture was taken with my new camera, so happy with the results. Especially since it was taken through the window, and the robins were in my neighbour's yard. I don't have a long zoom lens, but was able to crop the pic without it getting too grainy.

rubysmama rubysmama I’m so sorry Ruby got sick. I have some sensitive tummies here too. I’ve been offering some new foods lately but the kitties are picky.
That photo is great!!I love how the Robins are puffed up to turn their feathers into warm jackets. Spring is coming and I expect you’ll be having lots of fun with the camera. I look forward to seeing more photos.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 The birds are beautiful. I am always transfixed by flight. Of course the kitties always have my heart.
I have seen some other Greenie flavors. The me I have not tried is the catnip. Lol These kitties are going to get some eventually though. Lol They are pretty active without extra stimulation.
In cats I believe the fur turning from black to reddish can be tyrosine deficiency. They get that from meat. It’s a melanin thing. Humans too I think.

Oh no. :hugs: Just a thought ... weren't you on antibiotics lately? If so, maybe some probiotics might help. If not, at least there's lots of gluten free foods now. But, generally, they're more expensive than the choices with gluten. :sigh:
