Am I the only one here fluent in spellcheck and predictive? :flail: Ba(n)yan tree, folks...they're the bit rootical ones you see in pictures of the temples in Cambodia and such!
Those glasses are just the right size for cats! and yes, Banjo, you do look beautiful with them (or without!) and what a distinguished family tree you have!
So nice to see Froggie again!:redheartpump::loveeyes:

Normally a parrot would be on the shoulder of a pirate but BJ prefers a dashing hat.
OH, but let's be fair...cat shoulders are really not designed for easy perching. The head makes far more sense!

LOL. BTW, anyone else have to Google "Bayan tree"? Or just me. I think I need to borrow some of BJ's books on plants!
Well, I knew what it was, but didn't remember what they looked like. I did Google it, and got lost for a good 10 minutes in total wonder!

Those booties are precious. Swoon. I love pirate kitties.
PURRAUGH, MATEY!

rubysmama rubysmama That makes for a hilarious visual image, Banjo sitting in a row of kitty students and showing a picture of her Dad! Awwww! Lol They would never believe such a rough fellow had turned into such a sweetheart! Studious fellow too!

The Banyan tree is an epiphyte, in the early stages of life, meaning that it lives off of the air, water and nutrients that happen to fall around the baby. It literally comes out of the air and down to grace the earth below. Forming a “family tree” of massive branches it put new roots down from each branch, and appear to be new tree trunks and over time can form a veritable maze beneath. It’s in the same family as the fig. There are many varieties of the plant. I first saw a massive example in the Bahamas as a child and was fascinated by the way I could wander among the rootlet/branches and get lost inside the tree. Since then I have seen others in many places. Some were as vast as ancient ruins and worked to reclaim them into the earth. They are an amazing part of nature. Another interesting fact is that such a massive plant is pollinated up at sky level by tiny little wasps that function along with the Banyan.

M maggiedemi I love pirate cats too. I was , once again, amazed that BJ found it accepatable to wear anything!! Maybe his great great grandfather had a pair like that. Lol Asking questions is great. As you see, others wondered about the Banyan too.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I’m glad you found the tree. If anyone could have a Banyan for a family tree, it would be BJ!
I think BJ wanted the glasses to study his genealogy. He is so devoted to his family, it makes sense. ;)

Froggie is around. I check on the frogs and they are staying tucked away for now. Warm days will bring them out again. He does check in with Banjo. Another devoted fellow!

Your boss gives you some very complicated things to do! A maze ing?

Furballsmom Furballsmom Gotta giggle here a bit. Pirates and tree ts?

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 BJ said you got that right! Obviously a parrot should be on the head of a cat!
;) Got lost in a Banyan? Not surprising!

I’ve been working on the trailer today. Ugh. I don’t want it to deteriorate and trailers need upkeep too. Pressures washed it and hope to finish that tomorrow. Got the pine straw off the roof too.,It needs some repairs so I’m not sure if it will be worth the work needed but it is handy to have.
I walked back across the yard wet and chilly. I’m sure the job will seem better in the morning. Something came back to mind as I came inside though. It was a good day and the kitties were here to greet me at the door. M maggiedemi This is inspired by you. You mentioned this at one point and it just seemed to fit the moment.

Wet and tired Mom?

We gotta look at things from a different angle.... or through a different pair of lenses. 😎

I imagine looking through a sea/wall of kitties would make any view seem brighter. :vancat::bicolorcat::creampersian::silver::whitecat::blackcat2:

Those are beautiful sunglasses, all! I have a pair of rose-colored cat-eye sunglasses I got on sale at TheAnimalRescueSite.com but I just looked and they don't seem to have them any more:( I really love wearing them but I haven't shown them to Tarifa, Baby Su, or Elvis.
That's great that you cleaned the trailer! They say vehicles run better when clean...;) Ya think?
Yes, the banyan and the whole fig family of plants are very strong. I saw that about the wasps on a NATURE on PBS, if I remember right.

machines are sentient
Ya'll sure use a lot of big words.

The little Pomeranian puppy's owner came looking for him this time! He was really nice and said he just moved in up the road. That must be why the puppy doesn't know to stay home yet. It really did my heart good to see him again and know that he's okay. Because when you call a dog warden, you never know what will happen. Glad it had a happy ending and the warden found his dad. ❤🐕

M maggiedemi A sea of kitties is the best view! Lol I only need the rose glasses when I pan for gold! :flail:It’s great when those we care about check in!;) Very reassuring. It always makes me feel good!

I’m thinking the little dog came back to check in and say “Thank you!” It’s very neat that he was trailing his owner this time! Must have been showing his Dad where he found help. :clap2::redheartpump:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 You have “cat eye” glasses? Very nice! I remember when those were first made. They have come back into fashion since then. There is some risk in sharing them with the kitties though! Lol The glasses in the photo are part of a set that was given to me. They were a display in an Opthamalogists office back in the late 60’s or so. He retired and gave them to me because of the butterfly and another pair that had an orchid on the lens. If you just want cat eye glasses, there are some online. I know recently the style was made for collectors of Barbie doll items. The early Barbie was issued wearing them.

Furballsmom Furballsmom Machines sentient? Yikes! Remember Hal? If you ask the Siri on iPhones about Hal you can get some pretty funny answers. I once asked her if she knew Hal. Lol I have now turned Siri off because she totally freaked out a friend. She just started talking as we rode to the city one day. Neither of us had spoken. She did start getting a bit opinionated. Chatterbox! Have you seen the latest generation of robots?!?!? Amazing stuff! The one that jumps like a bug is a little ...... creepy? I wouldn’t mind an R2D2 or a C3PO!

I wonder what the cats would think about that? I know that some enjoy using a Roomba as transportation but those vacuums would choke and die here!

If the Roomba folks are out there, have I got a challenge for you! Of course, Banjo would probably put a saddle on it!

I just asked Siri if she knew Hal and she said, "I don't have an answer for that!" in what I may only be imagining was a rather petulant voice.

Furballsmom Furballsmom A night for all good Froggie and kitties to join paws! Lol Feet?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Ask Siri if Hal if she has ever gone out with Hal or ask if he is her friend. Lol I liked her answer to something else, what does the fox say? She can tell jokes too. I got a kick out of asking her all sorts of things. Ex: Can you the kitties a bedtime story? It can take asking in different ways to get a response sometimes but if worded in a way she can respond to you get some hilarious answers. Try asking her to tell Hal to open the Pod door.
