As is so typical in my world, last night was clear as a bell with no moon- the night after the meteor shower.

I actually managed to get out to watch! We had high, thin cloud cover, but I did see five or six meteors in between the layers of cloud. Worth it.

I've been battling vertigo again. Normally, it is over by now, but this year the weather stayed way too warm for way too long. Now that it is finally staying cooler, I should get better and be here more! I miss all the kitties and their doings! the kittens

OH OH OH! Today, when I fed the outsiders, Austin (the Grand Old Man) let me stroke his head! Very cautiously, and with just one fingertip, right on top, but he let me! And was very calm and sweet throughout. ALL of the kittens watched, totally fascinated, and a bit suspicious. I felt...honored.

N NY cat man That figures! Clear sky the night after the stars. It is possible you could still catch a couple. It won’t be as many as the other night but for me, any meteor is worth seeing.

Mamanyt1953 I’m glad you got to see them in spite of the vertigo. Vertigo is horrible and I’ll be glad when it has left you. Getting in a pet is awesome! Getting the “Old man” may demonstrate to others that you have his personal approval! Lol I know that was a happy moment. We work very hard for those little windows of opportunity. Yay Austin!

We had a quiet day going here today. I was beginning to think it would just be one of those sleepy kitty days.

Banjo has been lonely lately for her friend. She called me to the front door.

Yes Banjo, there is company but it’s big and little possum. I’m sorry it’s not Froggie.

Everyone seems to feel bad for Banjo. They all watch for her friend.

Banjo and Froggie started a long conversation at that point. What do they talk about?
I can only guess.

All I really know is that I can recognize love when I see it.

Banjo and Froggie remained there together for quite awhile. When I last checked, Froggie had finally left and Banjo is now curled up with a kitty smile on her face and dreaming some sweet dream.

Perhaps they are dreaming of watching falling stars together. All I really know is that the magic between them continues and they are both very happy tonight.

I guess everyone over here is starting to prepare for the holiday. The kitties have been starting to look around in the kitchen. I wonder if they expect turkey? Lol I would need a very big turkey!

With the cooler weather all the kitties have had the zoomes! I love watching them play. It’s a bit like trying to cross a maze around here though. I’m finding spring toys at every turn so I guess they are a big hit.

Today I went to snuggle the girls and I had the audacity to invade the bed during the day.

Tortie had a conference with Liberty.

Liberty tried to reassure Tortie.

That picture of Wanda Heart genuflecting on the bed is how Stretch reacts whenever his name is called. It's also what he did as he approached the house before he joined us inside, hence his name

Buffster7 The girls have their own room but are allowed out anytime thus wish. Others can go in as well but there seems to be a mutual decision to be a semi separate clowder. They have some interaction but only some of the kitties actively want the interaction. No fights though. Most of them knew each other outside but even there they had a bit of separation.

N NY cat man I love seeing them do that long stretch. It looks like it feels great. Lol I often feel it’s a demonstration too. Sort of,” I’m cool and collected. Don’t rush me.” They let the other kitties know. Stretch must be a cool cat!

Oh, he is all right- unless he gets a case of the zoomies, that is. At that point he tears around like his tail is on fire and his- er- butt is catching. I once saw him doing that and leap from floor to cat tree from almost 6 feet away, nearly toppling it in the process.

Last night we had contagious zombies. Lol I had my head down and was typing to someone when a gray blur flew in an uowrds trajectory past my head and over the arm of the sofa. I think it was BJ but judging by the speed, it could have been an indoor meteor. I think I was left with a few cats hairs drifting past my face. They all seem to be in a state of play since the weather has cooled off a little bit. It’s fun to watch but I wouldn’t want to be in the path of a meteor. Lol

That’s as cool as they come! Laid back and looking like he owns the world. He has the most beautiful eyes too. Don’t tell him, but the pink nose is soooooo cute!! He might not like the term cute. Lol That’s a very snuggly face.

Turn out the lights around here and things start happening! Did you ever question what happens after you go to bed? Did you wonder what was causing all those little bumping noises in the night? This is my answer to those questions. Don’t bother asking your cat though. They will never tell....

Mamanyt1953 Does Hekitty order a lot? Banjo thinks she’s sneaky but she always leaves a paw print in the screen. That’s what happens when you snitch Cheetos.
Maybe you should get Hekitty her own card so you can set a limit. I won’t tell BJ.

Kitties! There’s a tail to tell every day around here. Is there anything that can’t be made into a comfortable place for a nap?

Lady chose a blanket. Lol

I love the look she’s giving Banjo!

Undiscouraged, Banjo works to shape my lap into a suitable bed.

Proper kneading and pulling another blanket over my legs....

A bit of shaping......

And shifting gets the job done.

Then it’s a simple matter of settling into the right position.

Hanging over the edge of the sofa is not quite right.

Getting the weight of the head secured keeps a cat from slipping over the side. Extending the back legs acts as a counterbalance. Lol

Of course, once you fall asleep, it helps if Mom hangs on to your back half.

During the course of the day, I caught cats sleeping in places and positions that a human might find, less that comfortable.

Kodiak was asleep on my shoulder. The U bend of her head towards her bum seemed to suit her.

BJ fell asleep face down on my shoulder! Still breathing buddy?

A little later I had kitties sleeping bum to bum!

Banjo returned to nap with her head perched on top of my knee.

Finally, we have one cat using another as a blanket.

It must be nice to be able to sleep like a cat! How do they do that?!?!?!?

Does everyone else catch their cat sleeping like this?
