neely I believe you are right! This is such a great place. We have , practically the whole world here! I wish we could visit each place where cats are loved.
Hmmmm. Where could she have gotten that magnet? IDK but hers was an earth magnet. It’s not like she could call them to her or go to them. They just came to her. That just shows that most creatures can find the ones who love them and they give as much or more than they get. Me?!?! Heh. I would love to think that but she did it all by herself. I just stood by and Seeing cats just run in to the house and become “her” cats out of the blue was awesome. The thing that may have been most astounding was watching birds flock to her as she sat in her chair. Every bird pushed to get close. Kind of reminds me of the way birds loved the lady in Home Alone, only no one had a pocket full of seeds. Lol

M maggiedemi I am so very relieved and happy for you. The “path” we always hoped for is before you right now! There is it! You waited and held on and now a new journey has begun. Savor every moment. Many times you were told to hold on and you did! A little support until that time and now the light shines again. The emotion is shared. Now you’ll be on to newer things. One paw in front of the other with some cat dances in between.

Kind of reminds me of the way birds loved the lady in Home Alone, only no one had a pocket full of seeds. Lol

Thank you for sharing that particular video from Home Alone 2. Our second youngest loved the first and second movie. The sentiment between Kevin and the lady he shared his turtle doves with was priceless. And the lady who lovingly fed the pigeons shared what little she had with them, a truly selfless deed without any form of recognition. What could be better than thinking of others before yourself especially when the others have fur or feathers.

neely It is so true that thinking of others is a wonderful priority. The innocent ones in this world. We are greatly rewarded so that we are not lost in doing greater things for others. Love. What better reward can we be given? The turtle dove scene is a most beautiful sentiment. One of the kittens brought in here was named, Turtle Dove. She loved to perch on my shoulder no matter how much housework I was doing, bending down, washing dishes, sweeping or any other chore. She had the Catbird seat! Lol I had dents in my shoulder but I loved having her as my little companion.
She’s in one of the earliest photos on the thread.

No one sleeps if the cat bowl is empty! I love the expression on the cat! Lolololol Off course around here, if I don’t act as waitress, the cats will serve themselves. Lol I picked up a 20 bag of dry food yesterday and heard a low tumbling noise. Hole in the bottom. I know who did it! Mackie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was laughing! He still plays his jokes!

It was funny! The hooman kept trying to figure out what was making the noise. I told her it was mice!

This is Turtle Dove. One of a litter of holiday babies.Sandy Claws was another and Frostie loved to ride my shoulder too. Uff was a flying cat and Marmoset was all about adventures. They were some of the most intelligent and active kittens ever.

M maggiedemi Do you remember that I expressed that we often go down the path we anticipate but we find that just around the bend is something even better than we hoped for and we never knew it was within arms reach? Well….. you trusted that and it happened. It was all about you never giving up. Even at the lowest point, you had hope. Maybe it was the road you thought you would be on but it certainly brought you to a day of great relief and joy. These are the moments we work towards.
Dents? I’ll take them! A little Spackling and I’ll be good. Lol!

Jcatbird today was an adventure ! it snowed here and my maintenace man didnrt shovel the walk way so i had to call my landlord just to get it done. things went well at the knee doctor , no shots at this time then i had to go to the store for some things and had to wait 30 minutes to get back home ...im back home now and trying to defrost lol

I tried making these a couple of times over the past several years, to attempt to use up the ones at the end of the season that weren't going to have enough time to ripen on the plant before a big freeze. I pretty much decided it's quite a bit less about the sliced tomato as much as it is about the coating and the dipping sauce.

While shopping at our local pet store this afternoon the manager asked me if I saw their new sign for Valentine's Day.

How is everyone? It is weekend in my part of the world and tomorrow I'd get to cuddle my cats longer. I hope the neighbor's kids' would give me some rest time.

I am still feeding the momma cat and her kittens. They are still as elusive as on Day 1. But I am glad they are always around for me to bring them food at least twice a day.

I heard that some neighbors are complaining about the dogs in some of the flats. I worry that these dogs will just be thrown out by the owners. There are about 5 or 6 flats that have dogs (I am the only one with cats). Seriously, the dogs' never bother me. Of course they bark once in a while. But can I also complain about the unruly and noisy kids and ask them to move out also? I hope the dog owners do not abandon their pets. I see a lot of abandoned dogs here because most of the apartment compounds are not dog friendly. More dogs are being abandoned than cats.

Hello Maria. I hope you enjoy your weekend. Thank you for still care for the Momma cat and the kittens. That is a darn shame If those dog owners turn those dogs loose. It breaks my heart that people think that that is an actual solution instead of trying to properly deal with their dogs. Some dog breeds have a high prey drive. Also, a starved dog will resort to hunting to survive. Are there any rescuers or animal advocate groups who work to get the dogs off the streets and maybe also helpful getting the kittens off the streets? It would be so great if there were, but I know there is still countries that don't have this, but then again there are kind individuals who opened the heart and homes to animals. I am always amazed and inspired by the man who ran an cat sanctuary in the war-torn city of Aleppo in Syria. What a brave and dedicated man! Back to the dogs, I heard about cat caretakers in the country who ended up feeding the Coyotes, so they would not prey on the cats. It did work, but they had now more mouths to feed. You may not be able to do that I am really not for the solution of calling Animal Control (if you have that over there) that will most likely destroy the dogs. Are there farms nearby that you can inquire if they need any dogs? Especially if they seem like good work or guard dogs. I would just keep looking around for people who may need dogs that are good people who will take care of them, should the dogs end up thrown outside. I am just throwing a few ideas out there. If I knew these dog owners and they were people who were frustrated with their dogs' behavior. I would forward some Casear Milan's "The Dog Whisperer" videos. Ceaser is practical a miracle worker. You could see some of his videos on You Tube.

In regards to those unruly neighbors. You should put a complaint in with the Building manager or owner. Perhaps if there are other having issue with these neighbors and their kids, you all could go and complain about how loud, distespectful, and out of control they are. I think you mentioned loud parties, making noises outside your apartment (Flat), and their children outside in the early morning hours. The more who complain with you, the more validity given to the complaint. I think you tried to tell those neighbors to quiet down and things just got worse, so these people can't be nicely approached, they need to be complained about and dealth by the property manager or owner. He can warn them if they don't quiet it down and be more respectful than they will be evicted or he may just evict them. Please test the waters before you complain, these people may retaliate if the find out you complained about them and it maybe possible that they are relatives or good friends of the owner or manager. That could open a hornest's nest and make for a bad situation for you. So if you do complain you need to be carefu and l it would be best to do it with others. Just make sure these neighbors are genuine and won't turn on you or snitch on you for getting everyone together to put in this compliant. It can be a tricky situation.

I really hope you can help those kitties and the situation doesn't get any worse with this neighbors or those dogs being kicked out of their owner's apartment. I hope I make sense with what I wrote. My insomia has been very bad these days Well good night.
