neely Thank you so much! Music really can have an amazing effect. My step mother played the French Horn and it can be beautiful. In past years I have always gone out to do something for others but this year, staying in was necessary. Next time I will just have to double my efforts!

I didn't know you lost your daughter. I'm so sorry. Loosing a daughter is the worst thing that can happen to someone.

My grandmother grew up on a farm here in Virginia next to where Kate Smith lived but they were not friends. I think Kate smith was quite a bit older.

There was a drainage ditch at the back of my property that had a lot of frogs. One night Robbie caugh one and brought it into my kitchen. He was so proud of his self but I was not very pleased with him. The frog was still alive but did not look too good. I took the poor thing back to the ditch and the next morning the frog was gone.

muffy Thank you! It is very hard to lose a child but I was very, very lucky to have had such an amazing person in my life. She was my inspiration, my driving force and she left me filled with gratitude, laughter that echoes in my daily life and a heart filled with the love she gave me. If we get something like that even once or briefly, it is the best we can ask for. She had a magnet inside her and it drew all creatures, great and small, two legged, four legged, furred and feathered. Really something special to watch.
Cats seem fascinated by frogs! I don’t know if it is the sounds or the hopping of both! Lol The frog in the photo looks too big to want to eat! Must have been a friend. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Your kitty probably was just doing a Froggie rescue. If it was gone the next day it likely recovered. Frogs often play dead to escape. I have seen them recover from, what seemed, a death sleep. Nope! Fooled you! Hop, hop, hop!

Margot Lane I don’t know if we have any Swedish members. Good question! That clip is from a mid summer celebration. It is held each year and the frog dance is a tradition. The day holds lots of music, events and wonderful food/libations. I love seeing the whole crowd dancing and there are so many smiles and laughter that it is contagious.
