Jcatbird Jcatbird and sweet Banjo, *PRAYERS* ongoing. Good news and she is looking so well! Hoping there was a little ice cream treat to reward for a good vet visit.
@dustydiamond and Gypsy, leaving a place you have lived in and had good memories in is always hard. But it looks like your new place will be nice, too.

Jcatbird Jcatbird BEST NEWS I HEARD ALL DAY!!! :yess: :cheerleader::wavey::clap2::happycat:
I left a longer post under Banjo's medical thread, but want to let you know that this report is music to my ears. I pray the rest of this mass shrinks away into nothing and Banjo is back to being herself. All the best to you and everyone at Chez Catbird.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 TG that move is over. I hope you are settling in quite nicely. Nice pic of Gypsy surveying her new kingdom. I am sure she will love it there. ❤

Have a great weekend everyone. Take care.🙂

Jcatbird Jcatbird I am so happy hearing such good news. Yay to the Yay! :cheerleader:
dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 I felt a bit of sadness looking at Gypsy that way. Animals also do get attached to their homes. But I am glad she is settling in nicely. :redheartpump:

Sorry could not be online much lately. Bourbon has been sick again. We did some xrays and the vet assured her lungs are just fine and she was prescribed with doxipet. I hope she continues to get better too. It is a struggle giving her meds daily. My husband does the holding while I do the medicine drop to her mouth. She is one strong lady even when wrapped like a burrito. It is stressful when any one of them gets sick.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I am so sorry to hear that Bourbon is sick. Sending prayers.🙏🙏🙏 I hope that she stops being stubborn and allows you to get the Doxipet into her and that she has no adverse effects with that medicine. I hope everything goes well. Also, I hope those mean birds have stopped harassing you when you go out to feed the ferals. Well, enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care. ❤

All TCS miracle workers, I posted in my foster thread- little Red Zeppelin (who is now in his forever home) had to go to the emergency vet today, my friend who adopted him took him in- he's not eating well and is listless.
Need vibes, thoughts, prayers, candles, everything! He's home and still not great. They said to bring him back if he's not better tomorrow. 😭
I have foster kittens.

Thank you. Yes, when they get sick, we get so affected too.

It has been 3 days since I have not seen the nasty birds. Maybe they transferred, I don't know but thanks if they did. I am still alert when I go out and feed the colony.

There's no other form of this medicine that you could use, such as a transdermal or even an injection?
No, the vet did not say anything about it this time. Although last time (around last year or more) when she got sick the vet injected meds to her, which obligated us to come to the clinic daily.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Soooo, how are you? Thank you for keeping the candle lit a bit longer.

tabbytom tabbytom Now that’s my kind of Happy Dance! ;):yess:

rubysmama rubysmama It is the news I hoped for and am so grateful to hear.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Gypsy looks very happy in the new place. She has a birds eye view of the birdies! Queen for sure!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Banjo didn’t get ice cream that night because she had to get over a bit of a reaction from the meds. She had to wait after some emergencies arrived and was kept sedated longer than usual so, it took longer to wear off. However, once she was alert, she got all the broths she desired. She desired a lot! Lol

pearl99 pearl99 We did not have storm flooding here but I will say that on the long ride back from the specialist, Banjo flooded! OM goodness! She was in her carrier, in my lap. Somehow the flood escaped the carrier, puppy pad and towel to land in my lap. Fragrant!

Red Zepplin! Maybe it is just tough to make the adjustment to a new home. We’ll hope that’s all that’s wrong and the extra love coming with prayers , hopes, candles, purrs and whatever else can come will solve whatever is wrong instantly.:vibes::redheartpump: Feel better Red Zepplin! Come on little one! I will go to the thread. Miracles happen so hang in there. Maybe we won’t even need one.🙏

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose It’s amazing when we see an improvement that we were told could not be expected. I have never seen a vet animated with unexpected joy before! It just shows that it is never over until it is truly over. Hope is a great thing and we should always hang onto it as long as possible. Help can come from many sources. All the best to you too!

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Oh no. Bourbon! Get well dear one! Does the vet have an idea of what is wrong? I know that this time of year can bring allergy type symptoms. If the vet checked the lungs and they are good then maybe this will pass quickly when the meds have time to work. It does take time and I know this is stressful and exhausting while you worry. It sounds like Bourbon is strong enough to fight getting meds and even though that makes it hard for you, it’s something that means she is not weak. A good sign. Prayers, hopes and wishes that Bourbon gets well right now! Come on Bourbon!🙏 I do know how hard it is to have one of our fur babies feeling bad. My heart is with you and with pearl99 pearl99

I am glad the birds have stopped harassing you. Perhaps they had bested near and the chicks have left the nest? Maybe the bird bombing has ended.

Furballsmom Furballsmom Transdermal would be great! It certainly makes it easier. Oh my. Two kitties sick at once on the thread? Nooooo!

Get well kitties! I think Banjo and Froggie need to send some healing vibes along with the rest of us!

The word miracle comes to mind. Have you ever seen a vet dance?:hyper: It was a sight to see!
You are the true miracle worker! :heartshape: And Banjo is grateful for your research and many dedicated efforts. We are all in your corner and pulling for her. :grouphug: As for seeing a vet dance, I've known some pretty awesome vets even one who would sit down on the floor with our last dog and another who gave me her cell # when the office had abbreviated hours during the pandemic and Carleton was having some health issues BUT never saw a vet dance. I also wish you had a video of that but can try to picture it in my mind.

Special thoughts and prayers going out to the other kitties who are not feeling well - Bourbon and Red Zeppelin. 🙏
I also hope Gypsy settles into her new home and gets adjusted to the new smells soon. :crossfingers:

Prayers for Bourbon!
Thanks, and to your kitty as well.

Thanks for all the prayers for Bourbon, Red and also for Banjo. :redheartpump:

Bourbon is still coughing. Her meds is until Thursday but I think I have to bring her back to a (different) vet within the week for a second opinion. I have got no good sleep. I keep hearing her wheezing and it makes me worry too much.
