Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 That is really funny! Kids come up with some stuff! Now I want to see if I can hear the grass praying for rain. Poor you and poor grass.
It is hard to say “An anemone.” :lol:Say it ten times fast. Verbal typos!!!!!!

tabbytom tabbytom Thank you for the prayers. They always help. Banjo is doing okay. Yes. Best therapy cat friend.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote We’ll happy dance together! Lol
Thst flower is beautiful! Not one I have seen and love the color!

Happy Sunday!

rubysmama rubysmama Zoom! Maybe my fingers need zoomies? Lol That should have been mom!
You have a phlox in purple? Are the petals striped like the pink one?
The Geum is in rose family? Now that you say it, the flower dies look rise like. Learned something new! Thanks!
I hope the meds come. Also, I kind of hate to start them since we don’t know what they will do. She was okay after her last monthly treatment before we knew anything so maybe it will be great!
Dandelions are better than we thought!! Clover will add nitrogen to the soil AND the honeybees love it. My Dad was lamenting a lack of grass and clover in it’s place. I told him to enjoy the clover. Good stuff!

Heh! Started my replies yesterday but, got sidetracked. Long conversation with my Dad and I’ll take all of those I can get. Had another one today.
Let me try again!

I caught a break- there will be no iris this year. Michele hesitated too long before placing an order, and all of the ones that she wanted were already sold out. Of course, I don't know why the company waits as long as they do before mailing out their catalog, either.

Zoom and Mom are not even close. Silly spell checker.

Not really. And I find it doesn't photograph as nicely as the pink one. Though that may be the fault of the photographer.

neely neely I was very pleased that Cornell is interested in following this case because it may help other kitties. I also want all those involved to get the credit they deserve for being so diligent in helping to pursue this for Banjo. It has been a chain of help. Strength in numbers. I have often found very detailed studies through the Cornell site and the information there has been very helpful to me over the years. I have followed cats that got help through programs there too. Great place. I know that UGA has a great vet school too. PA too? Also UC Davis. I would hope that we all learn from this.
A cat bus would certainly give us all a way to share cat everything! Info on TNR, socializing ferals, cat health and Banjo could hand out leaflets of catnip! Lol Camping with cats as we go? Ummmm, it sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Maybe we need a convoy of buses?

N NY cat man Raised beds are great! I would like a few! The soil here is sand and a very unusual kind of clay. Clay that moves! Topped by tons of acidic leaf litter. It’s great for growing pine trees. I know there is nothing nutritious in part of the yard because carnivorous plants thrive there. It’s rough when a plant has to eat bugs!! Lol Somehow in all the acid, clay and sand there is one area that has really good soil. Sarah’s Garden. I don’t know how or why but almost anything I have planted there has done well yet it is only feet away from the carnivorous plants. :dunno: The previous homeowners warned me that NOTHING will grow in this yard. Well, things are growing. It is a challenge in many spots but the yard is full now. Raised beds would have made it much easier though! I am working to build up the soil and using leaf mold, black cow, peat and other choice plant yummies to help. I have not limed the snot out of the place yet but that would be good! Lol Sand is difficult because so many things leach out of it. It only took twenty years to get this far so, plenty of time to keep building dirt. I have lots of earthworms and red wiggles now so we are making progress.

rubysmama rubysmama Bags of soil was a great way to add nice black dirt! I have bought bags of topsoil and black cow to mix with peat to start seeds and once they are plants in four or five inch pots, they go in the garden. I guess I have lots of four and five inch dots of good dirt scattered around. Lol I would actually welcome some clover. I have weedy plants too. Chickweed has cute little flowers. Some of the native weeds are actually nice flowers so they can stay in the garden. One thing that tries to take over here and is not that welcome is Goldenrod. I leave some in the back but it will dominate the garden if left alone. The butterflies and bees like it though.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Oh yes! A boat would be great. Banjo once wore her Captain's hat when we were watching a lot of water come up here. Whistle is boatswain. He has his own whistle. Lol Somewhere in the thread there are pictures. As long as they can stay dry they are all for it. I happen to love boats. That would mean we could go to get friends who live further away! See the world with kitties!!!!! I wonder what they would think of flying fish? Lol

Kidney stones? Ow. I hope the Aloe helped.
Japanese gardening may be different? I know the rules on Bonsai are very specific. Cultures from other places see gardens in a different light. The neat thing about plants is that they do tend to come up years later and in different spots. It’s so wonderful that the larkspur appeared. Price does not compensate for attachment. Love is not bought but given. I always search the land every year to see what may appear. Sometimes I find great surprises.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you. My gratitude goes out to all. Still no meds for Banjo but trying to be patient due to supply and processing issues. A season for everything. Faith that it will come.
Thank you for the PB recipe! I am still feeling the effects , though mild. Things like this linger with me because of previous problems. Drinking lots of water to help. I won’t be trying anything new right now until I know this is over.

P.U.S.H. I looked that. As long as it doesn’t mean push a double decker bus. Lol That is such a cute bus picture. I actually saw a double decker bus done over as a motor home by a guy in Amsterdam. It was so neat. The kitties would love that and so would we! We could travel around with our turtle shell over us. Giant sized cat carrier! Top loading too!

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Whatever that flower is, it’s amazing. I hope the other variety blooms. We’d love to see it.

N NY cat man A Brecks catalog?!?! I know what that means. Lol You’re in for some digging now! I think Digger knows what’s coming and is showing you in that packing paper. Cats are so smart. Precious photo of Digger! Oh! Just saw that the Iris are sold out! I have noticed that happens a lot. Maybe they had a limited amount? IDK but it seems my favorites are always gone too

rubysmama rubysmama As a kid, I loved tongue twisters and my Step mom taught me one. I must be careful not to typo this one. I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit and on the slitted sheet I sit. Not easy. Lol
The purple phlox are just as sweet! So many flowers! Wow. I can tell they are purple.;) The amount of daylight available might bring out the purple. Sometimes I find overcast days are better and sometimes brighter sun.:dunno: Either way, I love them! My phlox don’t produce such lovely clumps. I have mostly woodland phlox but my soil is different too. Perhaps tgey

pearl99 pearl99 Oh yes! I remember the baby bumpers one! Lol

Margot Lane Margot Lane Now those are two tongue twisters I have not heard before. Lol

Found treasures and shared seeds! Life is good!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 It is a recently broken up comet so we’ll see what happens ! It may be too far to see much or there may be large numbers. I saw a couple of falling stars but nothing like what could have been possible . I saw one really well a couple of nights ago. We are just past peak viewing time so I’ll check again but clouds are blowing past too. Hard to tell if this is a good shower or not. I need to fill my pockets up again!

tabbytom tabbytom How about … If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, how many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick?

If two tickled tabbies typed typical typos on TCS, how many typical typos would two tickled tabbies type?

Huh?

LOL. I actually don't find that hard to say. But try saying this more than once.

Um...Sheesh.

And, for the record, a wood chuck would chuck just as much wood as a wood chuck could chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood. LOL, I suppose it depends on his upper body strength!

I can see why that one would be hard to say, as well as type.

Another tease of things to come:
The Aquilegia are now in full flower.
IMG_2048.JPG

In their second year, the Widow's Tears have more than doubled in size
IMG_2045.JPG

Our second attempt at growing a Black Snakeroot- Hillside Black Beauty- seems to be working better than the previous one.
IMG_2049.JPG

The sole surviving Sea Holly is doing well so far.
IMG_2047.JPG

And while there are no blooms just yet, the clematis are full of buds.

Nice shot except it's s little OOF and can work a little more on the composition.

Yes, Univ. of PA too - although not one of our cats but our beloved dog was in a research study out of PA. The veterinary specialist we were seeing for his autoimmune disorder contacted them as well as UC Davis. We are very fortunate that veterinary medicine has come such a long way and they are dedicated to pursuing scientific research as evidenced in sweet Banjo's case. :hearthrob:

Banjo would make a wonderful tour guide. :cheerleader:She could not only hand out catnip leaflets as you suggested but regale us with cat philosophy and tales. With all the support from our TCS members and all the guidance from the many vets and staff you have met we'll definitely need a convoy of buses. 🚋🚐🚌🚎🚌

Happy Tulip Tuesday !!!
🌷🌷🌷 🌷🌷🌷

Here's a few real ones to brighten this last Tuesday in May. Most of them were done, so I dug them out so I could put in the summer annuals. These ones still looked good, though, so they're now decorating my deck. I didn't want to use a glass vase, so improvised with these plastic orange juice bottles. :)

Beautiful! A lot of the plastics are nice enough to use as vases. Thanks for sharing with us!
