My Feral And Rescued Cats

I was running errands until late this evening. I came home and fed the kitties first thing. I also handed out treats. While I was making sure they all got fed, I grabbed a snack to tide me over until I could make my supper. I had bought an Angel Food cake from the bakery. It’s one of the few sweets that I eat anymore and I always enjoy it.

The sky was beautiful this evening.

I smacked as I fed the kitties. Dolly sniffed the cake but chose cat treats. Lol

Lady thought the cake was offensive. Lol

Muffin tasted a crumb that fell but wasn’t interested.

Mackie wanted to see what I had too.

Not cat tempting.

Bonjour didn’t even notice since better things were being handed out.

Banjo was convinced that o had kept the best for myself.

She had to check to be sure. Maybe if it had been Devils food cake but not Angels food,

Whoa!!!! A surprise attack!

There is interest in the group.

Whistle must be an Angel mom. He is eating Angels Food!

Snarf! Whistle! Lololol

Okay. Maybe you stole a piece of my cake but I must say, you have the cutest little Angel face! My , what a long tongue you have!

I think that someone found that cake sticks to the tongue too! That’s why we have cat trests! Lol

Heartless or a destroyed heart? I always wonder about how someone comes to be like that. Sad that anyone could be so completely lost and without a spot of light in them.

Some just are heartless and a destroyed heart. They don't feel a thing about the bad they do.

Good point. Both my parents had horrific abuse by their parents, beat them with anything close by- boards with nails or even farming hooks . It made my dad nicer, but made my mom mean. Funny how that works with different people.

tarasgirl06 --Where did you go? Too much talk about dogs? Come on back... I used to be terrified of dogs my entire life until I met Pomeranians. Funny how Pomeranians keep coming into my life! I'm afraid of my other neighbor's Pitbull, but when I yelled at him to get back and pointed to his yard, he understood me & got back. I thought he was gonna take my arm off!

Haven't read back to the heartless person people are commenting on, because time is of the essence for me, always, and because I'm thinking I might get booted off if I read it and comment. I'm already censured for one such, about a person I consider heartless who's posted here at TCS. But in the "caring cat community" it's the CATS I care about. And those who care about them. Those that don't? Apparently I can't say. But as a comparative religious scholar, I would refer to the alleged pronouncement of Jesus that 'better you had never been born' than that you 'offend one of these little ones'. 'nuf said, I think. OK, guys, thank you for your good wishes. As of yesterday, my temp went to 101.2, and my Dr. concurred with my diagnosis, given my cough, that my aspiration pneumonia was not totally resolved when I was discharged. He called in a prescription for me, though. Saw him today, and he confirmed that I'm a pretty fair diagnostician of my own ailments. I may be hit and miss for several days while we get this under control here at home.

Jcatbird I haven't been on the site much lately. I have been reading some but not posting much. Trying now to catch up on your thread. So sorry to hear that sweet Thrasher had been missing for so long. So very relieved to know Thrasher is now home safe and with her family again. I know you must be so contented now and all the kitties as well. At last I read Smoky seems to be doing well so far. Sorry if I may have missed something. It is hard trying to catch up , so easy to miss some important information. How are all the other kitties? How is my sweet Wanda Heart? I really love her! I thought I read you got another Prints?? Also , a new addition you adopted to a neighbor. An orange kitty? I sure wish I lived closer. Maybe you could find me an orange kitty. I have a very soft spot for orange kitties. I still miss my precious Mittens who was an orange and white kitty.
Hey, I read your rounding up TCS members to get together and visit you.
Wouldn't that be great? A trip of a lifetime. If only dreams could become reality.

@Mammyt1953 So sorry to hear about your illness! Hope you are taking things easy and letting your body heal. You are very loved on this site by everyone. As other members have stated , most members on this site are very warm and caring and can become truly good friends. You are at the top of that list. You are always so caring to all the members , especially on the "crossing the bridge" forum. You show such compassion to all of us who are grieving over the loss of our beloved cat. You are missed when you don't post for even a day , that is how special you are to all of us. I have been a member for a long time now , but not too well known by many.
Just take things one day at a time. It takes a long while for our bodies to recover from an illness. I know all too well. Just rest with your sweet Hekitty. A cat can help us heal. Oh , I did get a card for you that I would love to send to you. I will try to PM you to see if I can send you the card.
Until then , like you always say, my heart is with yours.

Your parents had it very rough. The fact that either came out with a tender disposition is amazing. Damage should never be done to our children. It is often passed through generations. Their parents may have experienced something similar. Hopefully it all stops with them.

We all know your heart lies with kitties and is focused on bringing them the lives they deserve. It’s very hard to hear when a cat is not getting the very best life possible. I think we all speak out at times. It’s hard not to speak up for those who cannot speak. We should not do otherwise or we become part of the problem. Those who don’t care about cats have come to the wrong place! We surround them with cat respect!

Big Mackie does like Big Macs. Lol He is a bit of a beefy fellow. McChicken or fish would not be turned down though. He has been known to have Big Mac attacks. I don’t often bring home takeouts but Mackie is familiar. I am more likely to buy a “Happy Meal.” I just like the name! Lol

Loving Mickey I am so glad you are back! I know it is hard to catch up. Let’s see…. Thrasher is doing well. I am so very happy now that she is home and snuggling me every night. Smokey is holding on. She has lost weight but her lady bloodwork was amazingly good! We take each day as it comes and I treasure every moment. She has exceeded all expectations already. I am very grateful.
Wanda Heart is still adorable! She’s such a sweet girl and all grown up now. She and Prints have become good friends. I think that having a kitty close to her she has been a happy addition for her. Prints is hilarious and loves everything!
The newest addition (lives with my elderly neighbor but I go by each day and do a lot of the extra care like flea meds.) is named Pawpurr. After getting Prints, we had to have Prints and the Pawpurr after Mark Twain’s ,” The Prince and the Pauper.”
Wouldn’t a gathering of everyone be fun? The TCS extrafurganza! Lol
