jefferd18 jefferd18 I think the towel trick will work. It may take her checking out the towel a minute first so don’t give up. If she can’t see the trip plate, it’s hard to avoid it! The drop trap just requires you be close by it. You can add to the length of the cord you use to drop it if you need to hide a bit further away. Hiding in a big box sounds great! I used a tarp but a box would have been much more fun! The cats would probably have liked it better too! They might have joined me in the box! That would have been an easier catch! :) Take gloves and a blanket just in case Mom cat comes in! Lol

jefferd18 jefferd18 try this :-

View attachment 324233

This one you need to be fast to stop the cat from escaping by rushing in before the cat push it's way out as the basket is light and a frighten cat is strong. Or place something heavy on top of it so that have weight keeps the basket down.

Great! Love this! I would tape a good weight to the top or be hiding right beside it. You could slip a stiff piece of cardboard under it and the cat and tape or tie it to the basket for transfer too! Be careful not to let Mom cat out! Ingenious! I love it when people find good solutions to trapping!

tabbytom tabbytom For the peanut butter to cure a headache.... do I try eating it or rubbing it on my head? :flail:The cats might try to give me a bath! Lol I’ll let you know if it works for the next headache. Even if it didn’t work, it would be fun to try!

rubysmama rubysmama i could just melt a Reese cup on toast! Lol mmmmmm!

Callie is such a pretty girl. I love it when the big girls join the play. She kept that raised pose for a good while too! Her tummy may be round but her bottom must be flat! Lol I just wanted to rub that pretty white belly!!

Wanda Heart is grown! She’s still a little girl compared to her roomies. I think she may stay small but she thinks she big! Lol

N NY cat man I have often thought of using a fishing pole but figured I’d knock something over! Lol A child sized pole is purrfect! I would love casting for cats! I’m gonna stay on the lookout for one of those! Can you imagine if I tied a shrimp on the line?:climbcat::runningcat::dizzycat: If you ever get pictures of cat fishing, I would love to see! Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I love your stories of Tarifa and her prey. I always get an image in my mind. Lol Leaping cats are all grace, beauty and adrenaline! Lol When Wanda Heart leaps, I smile. I love watching kitties hold their heads up as they carry things. Also a graceful movement.
I had forgotten about peanut butter on celery. Topped with a line of raisins it’s called ,”ants on a log!” We had that as children.
The info on the drop trap is good advice! I love the idea of hiding in a big box the monitor dropping it!

jefferd18 jefferd18 You’re doing great with catching the kitties! I didn’t know you had caught all three babies AND a Tom! :clap2: :woo::goldstar:Bravo!!! Keep us updated please.

white shadow white shadow Thank you for adding to the trapping ideas. Hiding the trip plate is a great idea! It’s hard to avoid what you can’t see! :redheartpump:

Furballsmom Furballsmom Another great tip! Warming the food to enhance the smell can distract kitty from the trip plate! Ummmm! Warm chicken would catch me!

Spread it on where your head aches and let the cats lick it off with their massaging tongues

I haven’t been to the dollar store lately. :) We had some sunshine today so I took a little trip to see what I could find for an upcoming holiday. I found a few things to tuck away for that but I also found something that made me laugh. Banjo!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm. Had a little glitch tonight and the photos didn’t load at first. At least that’s how it appeared. So, I reloaded them and posted.
When the post appeared, the photos were doubled! :flail:Thank goodness for that edit button! (I wonder if Banjo had something to do with that glitch? Double the Banjo, double the fun? She does love having her picture on TCS!:bicolorcat::bicolorcat:) Banjo!!!!!! Did it again!

I think Banjo is trying to tell new froggy not to mess with her that there's two of her around. No wonder new froggy is sitting obediently on the chair  :flail:
:flail: :flail: :bicolorcat: That explains everything! Mystery solved! Now just one little problem. I can’t stop laughing! Froggie does look a bit intimidated! It’s all in the eyes and body language. Frog speak! :flail:

Cute new froggie. 🐸 It actually reminded me of my "frog garden" that I have in the summer time. My froggies are currently packed away for winter, but in a couple more months, I'll be bringing them back out.

Here's a pic from last year, before the day lilies all grew big and hid some of the frogs. How many froggies can y'all spot? 🐸

I loved all the peanut butter ideas everybody posted. I'll have to try some of them. I don't like chocolate with it though.
The grilled cheese & French toast ones sound delicious! Cats can't have peanut butter, so don't let them lick your head.

P.S. It was nice seeing Callie again! 😍
