rubysmama I’m glad you thought it was sweet but no weepy allowed. It’s supposed to make you smile. My heart smiled when you said I was “amazing mom” to Sarah and now to the Clowder. I sure hope so. I sure hope so.I could not love any more than I do. Then or now.


Graceful-Lily I think you have more news for everyone? We left this morning with three new babies. (On Sunday Lady did tell us another birthday was coming! She didn’t say how many!) How are Mom and kittens? How are you? Stressful day!
I think they would be brothers and sisters , one litter removed? Lol Kind of like saying cousins once removed.

tarasgirl06 Pooh did have the most special of friends. Funny that of all the things packed away in the Gingerbread house, all the kittens chose that one thing to play with. There were other things that belonged to Sarah and carried the same scent but nothing like Pooh. Big snuggly old bear! Lol Good choice. The first time I saw a kitten on it, I smiled. Still do.


Wanda Heart was being so sweet tonight. She gave me some smiles but the real big laugh came from BJ tonight.

Much smaller than a Banjo! No bigger than my fingernail! I’ve been seeing her but this is the first time I’ve gotten a chance to get a photo. She’s growing!

Ah, yes. There are now 4 kittens but I took a picture recently and it looked like 5 so I have no idea at this point. It's hard to tell because of their colour. Plus, they move as a unit.

They are great! Fayola took care of the placentas and umbilical cords even with no teeth. So proud of her!

I have a headache because I didn't eat all day until I got in around 5pm. I got carried away with the kittens and totally forgot about food. Plus, I had to visit a breeder to inquire about a puppy she's selling.

I got home around 8:30pm. Settling down now with a cup of green tea.

It is so hard to tell! I tried counting too. 4,5,6? Or is that Moms tail? Lol I can’t tell but they will all be precious. Fayola is truly beautiful. Proud and protective Mom. The kittens do move like a unit. One little nursing assembly line.

Jcatbird - I love how much Wanda Heart has matured and grown into the young cat she is today. Her story is inspiring.

Fayola finally moved away from the little jellybeans so I could get a better look at them. Definitely just four. Fayola really wants to be pet and loved but I think she's still a little confused and sees me as a threat. She scratched me just now when she came out of the nest. She was purring and rubbing on things at first but then it took a turn.

I had no idea newborns could fight over one nipple. The smaller kittens are getting pushed off by the big ones. They eventually find another nipple but man, they really prefer the top ones. I mean, these little things are aggressively pushing their siblings out of the way with their paws. It's so fascinating.

Jcatbird Those triple tracks are so popular! They look great, too. I'm always tempted to get one but my Three are not really into track toys -- I see kittens playing with those a lot more.

Definitely time for a change of pace. It’s been a very long day and I admit that I reflected it. As much time as I have spent in this place, you would think that not much would get to me. Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves. I know better! I did something that I don’t think I have ever done in my life.

I was talking to the kitties tonight and Banjo was looking for Froggie. Hmmm. I didn’t see Froggie. That’s unusual.
Mitsy looked worried.

What was all the drama about? Something grabbed my pants leg from behind me! Something under the cat shelter. Only the cats got a good look. I now know it was an animal but it felt like a hand at first. I am so glad the neighbors weren’t out! I have run into animals, reptiles and all sorts of living creatures, including a Florida Panther and never been more than startled. Normally I freeze in place. I can only suppose that because this felt more like a human hand, I hollered. At least I know my holler works! I am guessing it was a raccoon. I saw a grey and black blur dart into the darkness. Poor thing must have been terrified. Poor BJ was desperate to get to me. It was all very quick and immediately after I yelled, I realized it must be an animal. I started laughing but BJ was not amused. I am now confined to quarters until he allows me out again. I got a thorough exam by all the kitties and was found to be unharmed. Whistle is still hovering nearby. Sorry kitties!
I will not be backing up to that tarp in the dark again. Lol I know better. Getting a little slack in my caution! Now I have a raccoon to apologize to! Too bad I didn’t get a picture! I bet that would have made an amusing video.

I’m going to make amends to a whole bunch of kitties. Treats for all! Maybe a little for the Raccoon too if the kitties allow me out the door.

My cats do the same! Whenever I'm outside of their enclosure, weeding the front garden or rummaging around in the tool shed. They all stand by the fence and yell at me to get inside quick before the bear gets me!
