My cats brother is black and had a black nose. I said had, because around his 1st birthday his black nose faded to pink? Is that normal? I have never heard of it happening. Otherwise he is happy and healthy besides suddenly wanting to fight the older male around.

I would be puzzled by such a transformation. I think I would consult a Veterinarian for their opinion.

While it is not normal, it can happen for a number of reasons. Aging can cause it, but he's far too young for that to be an issue. Leukotrichia (vitiligo in humans) can cause it, but we would expect that his fur would begin to lose color, as well. There are also several illnesses that can cause it. I'd suggest having a vet see him, just to rule out those illnesses.
