What a BEAUTIFUL BABY!!!!!

Sorry she had a rough start. The photo of her poor little bruised hand from the IV makes me want to cry. She was very brave, tho, I can tell and looks terrific now.

Enjoy! Don't hesitate to call La Leche League or a lactation consultant if needed!

Awwwww she's so cute!!!!! A scary start, but I'm glad everything is fine now. At least if she is happy with the bottle you can make DH do the middle of the night feeds

They have sniffed her but other than that they don't pay her too much mind yet. She spends most of her time in her bedroom or ours so they don't have much access to her. But with the monitor on they are getting used to her noises I think. The first night home Mooch beat at her bedroom door incessantly trying to get to me. Poor kitties had a confusing week. We didn't get home with Tressa till after 9:30 that night but the first thing I did was feed the girls dinner myself and pet them while DH carried her in, but I still didn't get to sit down and pet them like they wanted. They are better now.

I am so jealous! I cant wait for our little girl to get here!

You are so blessed!
I hope you have a much easier go of it than I did though! While I'm happy she's here, I'm glad some of that stuff is the past now!! One of my friends is due with her 2nd on the same due date I had. She's been dialated some since Chrismtas and quite uncomfortable with no baby. I was feeling fine and BAM here she is! While I was in labor I remember thinking how mad at me she was going to be!!

Would be nice! LOL! The first night we were home I was mistaking her being cold for being hungry so she and I were up most of the night. DH slept. And slept. But I didn't beat him with the pillow like I wanted.
Really though, he's been great. He stayed with me at the hospital, only going home to shower when I really told him to (also so he could put her bassinet together!!). He's not been up with me at night but during the day he's been going non-stop with projects around the house and warming bottles and changing diapers too. I appreciate him so much. He's got no other baby experience, but he loves his little girl! And I understand why he's not jumped up at night to help. I'm pumping and giving her that now, but I was trying to nurse her and then supplement with formula. So there wasn't much he could do. Still makes sense for me to get up since I pump after every bottle feeding she gets, but I did leave him some of the dishes for morning!

Thank you!

Tressa and Daddy had their first alone time together today while I went to the doctors. They both did VERY well!

She is beautiful. Congrats. Listen to your doctors and take it EASY! Trust me you need your strength later.

Breast feeding takes patience. Call the lactation specialist anytime. You can go for a visit too for assistance. They have an answer for everything. I didn't stick it out but I did see them several times. Every time they helped it went beautifully.

Welcome to motherhood.

Congratulations!

I'm sorry you had such a stressful birth experience, but all seems well now.

I love her name too!
