I have a kitty cat who is 16 yrs. old and cries all the time. Her name is Sophie and I feel so helpless toward her. I've had her to the vets three different time. She had a complete bloodwork panel done, given anti-biotics in case of a urinary infection. Even after she eats she cries. I was told that she probably has kitty Alzheimer's. I adopted her when she was 2 yrs. old and has always been quiet. I bought a collar that has natural pheromones and I put lavender oil on this collar. Any help would be appreciated.

hello Rose.

If your cat has a urinary infection, it's strongly advised to give her a water-rich diet if you aren't already - such as wet canned food. No dry, as kibble makes matters like this worse.

The pheromones are definitely a good idea, it's known that they tend to calm cats down in stressful situations. Do you think she may be in pain, which is causing her crying?
