I will be moving back home with my parents soon, and I'm trying to figure out how to handle the litter box situation. I will be moving from a small apartment to a 4 bedroom, 2 story home. I have heard 2 different things: 1, the cat should have a litter box on each floor, and 2, the cat should never have more than one place to go or she may get confused and think anywhere is okay. Does anyone have experience with this? What do you recommend?

Provide multiple boxes on the different levels. Make sure that once you decide the box locations that you don't move them. Also, put used litter along with the fresh litter in the boxes and show the cat where the boxes are.
