Hi everyone--
I would love some advice from some kitty experts. I have to
relocate all the way accross the country, with my three cats.
Two are 10 years old, and like an old married couple, and one
is 3 years old and a little devil!
I have to live with family for awhile and they are not going to
allow my extended family of kitties to be there with me.
My uncle has a house in the country and said they could all
three stay on the back patio for a few months, it is a dead end
road and very quiet neighborhood [ noone is living in the house
at the moment]

My concern is, if I just let them there--will they try to run off,
or what about possible predators that may harm them?
I just thought maybe someone out there may have dealt with
something like this before and could advise me...? ANY ideas?
thanks--Felicity.

I wouldn't let them live by a house that is empty. I'd be afraid of them getting feral with so little contact with humans. Is there perhaps an animal rescue organisation that could help you find temporary homes for them these few months?

What are they supposed to eat? How will they feel if they are left all alone for so long? I hope you can find a shelter or a catlover to take care of them until you get back on your feet. Is there anyway you could stay at the empty house and keep your kitties (I mean if you are over 18, would your uncle let you stay in the house since no one is living there anyway?)

Thanks for the reply, I would be going to the house atleast every other day
to feed them and make sure they are ok. But maybe the foster care would
be a better alternative for them, if there is any available.
