My mother cat had only one kitten which is now 3 weeks old. Her milk sack feels like a bar of soap. Mom and kitten both seem to being Doing great. Just wondering if the milk sack is normal to feel like that. The teet is not hot or swollen. It’s about the size of a Irish spring soap bar.

It sounds okay if it is not hot or swollen and mama kitty is eating, drinking, and otherwise seems healthy. My guess is it’s the only nipple being used so that one mammary gland is the only one producing milk so it stays full. Just keep an eye on it. If you have reason to be concerned do consult a vet.

The kitten is adorable and looks healthy!

It looks like mama kitty has some Holstein cow in her :yess:. Kudos for your awareness on the signs/symptoms of trouble and concern. If your kitty is vaccinated, you could consider allowing her to foster young orphans for your local rescue group. Your singleton will enjoy the company and it could save lives.
