We had a stray cat bring her kittens to live in our garage, the kittens were about 8-9 weeks old. They’ve been in a room in our house now for a couple of weeks, the Mom no longer has any patience for them, and has gotten very aggressive with them, attacking and pinning them by the neck, the rescue that we’re going through is full, and we don’t have an extra room in the house to separate her from the 4 kittens. They’re not running and playing as much because she gets triggered. Nervous that she’s going to injure one, or worse. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is she a strat or a semiferale? If semiferale; you can just TNR her and release

Otherwise you can keep her in a cage, and now and then let her stretch her legs; while you perhaps have kittens in cage

I completely agree that if she is feral and would never be a pet that doing TNR and letting her go is for the best. I have done this lots of times over the years with feral moms and litters.

If mom is tame and needs a home, she will be much calmer once she is spayed. Are there toys in the room for the kittens as well as things to climb on, like a cat tower?

The shelter may be full, but are they able to get the mom and kittens spayed and neutered at least, and vaccinated? Once that is done, they can be advertised for adoption while you foster. Many shelters do this.

She’s a stray and very tame and affectionate.

Very tame, and yes lots of toys and a large cat tower. They’ve been flea treated, vaccinations are Monday, spay and neuter within a week, we do have a large dog kennel, that sounds look a good option. Thank you to everyone for your help!
