Once upon a time, there was a lady & her giant lynx point tom cat named Sid.
They had just moved out on their own, & they were kinda lonely, something was missing.
It was a random thing that one of her friends just happened to have a Siamese w/a litter of kittens-
all solid black, except for one! He was a happy accident, his Siamese mom met up w/a russki blue cat & Mortimer happened.
He was adorable & blue-pointed!
The lady's friend named him 'Blue', he was too cute to live on a ranch where cats get eaten up by coyotes-
so.... a wonderful event happened @the humane society! Mama kitty could be spayed @cost & her kittens fixed for free
Only catch was that mama cat & kittens would need someone to pick them up.
So I did.
It was a total circus. Sid was not pleased to have these strange vet-smelly cats in his house.
& after all the hustle, Morty remained here, in my bathroom- scared & tiny!
I let Siddartha feel him out under the door for a few days, smell him, hear him mewing..
& then I opened the door & Sid fell in love with Mortimer!
Mortimer was Sid's baby-doll,
It's funny now, Mortimer is a big 14lb cat, but he's so submissive to Gertrude the kitten.
Morts will always be my baby blue guy, I think he doesn't realize he's a big grown up fella.
Morty is wonderful & goofy & plays fetch better than any dog ever, but he's just a timid fella.
