Moon Memories- July 20, 1969

Happy anniversary of the Americans landing on the moon!

Where were you on this day in 1969?​

My family and I watched it on tv in our living room.
Very exciting!

Oh, wow! I remember my folks ushering my sisters and I into the living to watch it--such an incredible moment.

I remember sitting around the TV with my family and watching it. It was so exciting.
I was 19 at the time.

Yep! It remains one of my most clear childhood memories, seeing astronauts on the moon.

I remember.. My parents and I were there watching it.. actually, my mom fell asleep on the coach and my dad in an arm chair. My dad was able to stay awake longer, so I did have company. We woke my mom up to watch the descent and landing!

I also remember looking outside the back door, at the moon--just wondering...

I was around 11 months old, so no memories.

My mom was a year old, so I was a while away, but I remember being super impressed the first time we watched it in school!

I was 13 at the time. I remember sitting in the living room watching it. I think most people were watching it in wonderment and disbelief. I think a lot of people didn't believe it could actually happen.
