    Where my cats are
I know I'm late again. We decided to run errands this morning before the weather changes. We almost beat it. But the good part is we got all the Christmas stuff back in the attic yesterday so I was able to pull in the garage with the groceries. :D

How long does your "hair routine" take you?

I got a new cut last week so I feel like I'm spending all this extra time on my hair. It's probably taking me 10 minutes instead of 4. Normally I wash and dry it in the morning; but I thought I'd wash it last night so I could sleep in a few more minutes today. It was dry by the time I went to bed; but lets just say it's not my best hair day ever. :paperbag::doh2:

2 minutes everyday except for the days when I shower, in which case I take 10 minutes to style it.

Well, about an hour twice a week when I wash it and blow dry it. The rest of the time I wear it in a bun or braid so probably about 5 minutes in the morning.

I never had good luck with washing my hair the night before.
I always wake up with hair sticking straight up. Only way to fix it is to wash it.

I dont do anything to my hair other than twist into a bun then go to work. I will take it down to dry later. Can't brush it when it's wet. Tangles into a mess.

I want to cut it super short but don't want it to look dumb so for now it's past my shoulders. It was down to my butt but gives me a headache from being too heavy.

Washing and drying my hair takes about 5 minutes and styling my hair with a curling iron takes about 15 minutes. I would rather just shave my head.

I cut mine short, it's boy-short when it's freshly cut but I have a tendency to let it go shaggy before getting it cut again. But since I cut it, it's super easy. I just wet down the sticky-up spots from sleeping on it, comb it down, then go. When I get to work or wherever else I'm going (I live in the country so going anywhere requires at least 10 minutes on the road), I fluff my bangs a bit with my fingers so I don't look like a Vulcan and that's it.

I need to be at work at 6 AM so I shower before bed. My hair is damp when I go to bed. I cannot recommend this stuff highly enough for those of us who do not blow dry their hair. It's No Blow Dry by Redken. It's not cheap but it WORKS. I put about a quarter sized dollop on my hand and massage it through my hair after I comb it. When I get up in the morning, I brush my hair the way I want it and it behaves. No frizz, no flyaways and it's nice and soft. There's none of that stiffness or stickiness that some products leave in your hair. I brush it, add some hair spray and I am out the door.

No Blow Dry Just Right Cream For Medium Hair | Ulta Beauty

This is where I got it. It's normally $24 a tube but it's on sale now for $15.99. When I bought it, it was buy 2 get 1 free. They have it for fine, medium and coarse hair. I love it. It has a permanent spot on my bathroom counter.

Try a Wet brush and the Redken No Blow Dry! They both work great.

I have had those kind of headaches before. Actually wearing my hair up on the way to the salon was giving me a headache. I can't do short short. I need some weight to hold it down or it just gets puffy. One time I had it cut a bit below my chin. I tried to curl the ends a bit and ended up looking like a mushroom. I'm thankful for my thick hair; but short just doesn't work. It is wavy but not truly curly.
That looks interesting! I'm so not a makeup person so I've never even ventured into a store like that. I do like the Wet Brush though! I don't use it on myself; but on my DD. She likes to keep her hair long but doesn't like brushing. The salon where we go recommended it. I got one there that day and managed to find a backup one on clearance at Kohls.

20-30 minutes to wash, 10-15 minutes to brush :insertevillaugh: (with mentioned before ‘Wet Brush’ and some oil like Mortocan Argan oil or similar, really helps with tangles) done once a week or for special outings, the rest of the days 5-7 minutes to brush and braid. I used to be able to wear a top bun but lately it gives me terrible scalp ache, yuk!

I wish I had the guts for that! Sometimes I just want to shave it all off, or at least clip it very close. But I don't want the attention, to have to explain it to strangers. Do you get a lot of questions/comments?
Mine used to be almost that long, just past my waist. And it's thick and wavy like yours. I usually wore it in a braid, half the time I wouldn't even comb it out first :paperbag:. It just got to be too much, so first I cut it to shoulder length for a few years and then short.

yes, i do! questions, comments, looks/stares, and etc. i've kept my hair this short for over 20 years, so i've gotten to the point where i just......don't notice, or likely notice, but it simply doesn't 'register' further than that in my mind. :dunno:

In the morning before work, about 20 minutes, that includes washing. Speedy is always close by to make sure I get it right! :catrub:

Usually about 15 minutes. I have very fine hair and the last few years it has thinned so I really should wash it everyday. I sometimes cheat with a dry shampoo. I have to be careful with product because any weight makes it look even thinner. I use a spray called It's a 10. It adds a little volume without adding weight and it dries a little quicker with it. It is pricey but a can of it last a long time.

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. It's probably the longest it's been for a while, down almost to my bra line and I badly need a haircut. Probably 30 minutes from wet hair to dry....maybe. I don't have time to deal with hair. I put Redken Anti-Snap on my wet hair, let it go for about 5 minutes, then pick it out. A bit of Garnier Smooth Blow Dry and blow-dry while fluffing with my fingers. Toss over my head, bend down and blow-dry. Toss back out, a quick brush and I'm getting dressed. I should do more, maybe a bit with the curling iron, but seriously, I don't have time.

I use Redken Ultimate Shampoo, Conditioner, and Anti-Snap, along with an Ultimate Mask. Every other shampoo and conditioner is with Nioxin 4 for thinning hair.

I have been letting my hair grow since August. I have probs with pain in my hands and arms so I
felt letting it grow so I can just wear it in a pony tail or messy bun. I felt it would be easier but after
reading by the posts I would love to get cut really cute and piecy.

My hair is thick. I get it colored with highlights and lowlights, leaving some grey. It is cut short and textured in a pixie type style. I wash it once a week, blow it dry. That takes about 10 or 15 minutes. I use mousse and hair paste to give it added texture. In the mornings, I can brush it, dampen my hands and work through it with a little hair oil. I arrange it a bit and spray a little if necessary. Pretty easy hairdo for always looking decent to go out if I have to.

I have hair almost to my nips. U.S.Navy style showers,in and out asap. So I wash my hair well and rinse, then apply conditioner and let it sit while I wash my body. Rinse everything out/off,and start drying off. In and out of the shower and dressed in less than 5 minutes. Pure military efficiency.

Once my hair completely dries,I put it in a pony tail on the back of my noggin so it doesn't interfere with my cpap mask. It only comes loose when I crank my guitar amps up...my long hair is the source of my aggressive guitar tone.
