I forgot all about this thread and that I had posted awhile ago but Carleton was still with us at the time. He passed away 7 weeks ago so I thought I'd post a pic or two of my truly special and adoring Persian boy that we rescued from unmentionable circumstances.

The photos of the black cat are of our gentleman Poppycat. 17.5 years old, and he was up there (on the fridge just below that cabinet anyway) two weeks before he died. He and I got it done and never let him turn into a skinny old cat even though he had a lot of bad things going on healthwise (at least a year's worth of hand-feeding every meal so that he got the best food and the supplements into him that he simply wouldn't eat otherwise, and he put up with it, bless his heart). The thumbnail below is his first day home. I couldn't figure out why he suddenly popped into my head a couple mornings ago, but then I realized that it will be two years next month that he's been gone.

Moffit was our honeygirl. We don't know how old she was, but Dean (not a cat-person at the time, -- 2003-4) was scrolling through shelter photos and saw her, and said there's absolutely no way we're going to allow her to stay there at her age (if I recall I think they thought she was at least 10). A more self-assured cat I've never known. She even told off the two lab/pitties next door one day LOL. What a class act.

Yuma, a purebred apple-head Siamese, was my soulmate when I was a kid. I may have mentioned before, but this cat elevated zoomies to an absolute artform.

He wasn't really anyone's cat, but he hung around our place a lot. He was as irascible as his name suggests, but for around six years he was a fixture in the neighborhood. He was last seen August 16. He was Grumpy, the feral.

I just hope that, wherever he is, that he is at peace.

I always keep hope alive when a cat doesn't come on the scene, so I choose to hope Grumpy got adopted and is living indoors-only with a loving person/family. *Yes, it can happen.* :redheartpump: :redcat::redheartpump:;):goldstar:

good point, I had a stray show up for breakfast and supper for a year not sure if he was a outdoor cat that had a home or if he was homeless. Then one day he showed up with a wound on his paw. I trapped him got him vetted and fixed and now I have another cat. lol. The point being; someone posted on a community site that a stray stopped coming around and was worried about him. It was my new guy. I let her know he is safe and and indoor kitty now. I hope Grumpy is a indoor kitty too

you can see him limping in the first part of this video Ringo limp 1.MP4

Here he is loving indoor life Playing.mp4

He is a good boy, very intense and kind of intimidating, but a good boy
He definitely is limping! Is he still limping now? Wondering as to the cause. *PRAYERS* for him to be healed and well very soon.
He's very handsome and obviously enjoys his play!
