When you had to rehome, did you have someone to give them to, or did you leave them with a shelter. If a shelter, know there's always cat loving people, like me, looking to give a home to a cat in need. I was also "raised from birth with cats", so also believe they are family.

Mr Fluffy Fluff's name totally suits him, btw. I hope he and you are helping each other with the loss of your precious Elvis. 🤗
One was adopted from a tenant in my building when I was very young and adopted out. The second, likewise. The others, 12, were former "community cats" 2 locations ago that my ex and I TNRd and adopted. We moved to another location and they of course went with us. Ex dumped us all and I had to find safety for them in a horrible emotional state. I won't go into all the details as they are very traumatizing for me, but I choose to always think and believe that they found safety and love. In reality, I will never know. Only one was definitely adopted upon reaching their destination in another country. The others were in sanctuary and I was providing for them monthly. In reality, we never know, unless we can visit them continually, how their lives are when they leave us. This is why I will fight with my last breath to keep whatever loved ones are in my care, in my care, as long as their care is good.
It's so hot here that we are basically laying low. The forecast is for it to break tomorrow. Until then, we are quiet, and definitely mourning.

No fair!!! I want a Calico/Tortie!!!!
They always are Pretty & Fancy! So those names would definitely fit! We had a Calico feral outside that I wanted so bad. I named her Gretchen, but Maggie punched her in the face & she never came back!

My angels Tarifa (torti) and Maryam (calico/calaby/tortico???) thank you for the admiration. Colorful and beautiful!

Sorry Maggie chased the calico away. Maybe she felt you have enough cats for now. 🤗

Pretty is my first calico. After having Ruby, it's strange finding black fur around the house.

I know what you mean. It is strange to see black/grey fur in the brush, after doing a bit to Tux.. And seeing dark grey fur in the vacuum receptacle.

How is it going with the gorgeous one? Any new pics? My friend's mom found a Calico kitten underneath her trailer. Of course she offered her to me! I'm like I wish! But heck no. I showed the pic to dad & he wants her. Nuts. 7 cats?! No way.

See what happens when you put the idea of wanting a calico out there.

My sweet calico is doing well. Here she is from the other day patiently waiting for me to finish up on the computer.

My 9 moved here with me. Twelve went to rescue because of the stupid quota here. It's not the number that matters -- it's the love and the good care.
