nope. hes totally normal besides the whining at night
Hi. Urinating more and grooming himself more is not generally what someone would call normal, since it is apparently beyond the 'norm' for him. Add in the whining, and you might just have a health issue. I would get him checked for a urinary infection at a minimum.

Male cats are more prone to urinary issues than female cats, especially kibble-fed cats. You should have him seen by a vet. If it is something as simple (and easily treated) as a UTI, you want to catch it early before it progresses into something more severe. Good luck and keep us updated! Feel better Zeus!
