An average cat should be about 1800 grams at 4 months. So he's catching up! You're doing good.

Usually small kittens will catch up eventually, and get to their full adult size. It just might take them a little longer.

He just broke the 2 kg mark! He certainly is growing fast, 200g since last week. His weight is still low for his age, 4 months 22 days old, but he's catching up.

Another thing, his current vet suspects a heart condition, but says we should wait another week before doing a echo cardiogram. Then we will need an appointment with a different vet for this, so it will probably be next month before I have the results.

For anyone who followed this thread but not the other one, there is nothing wrong with Count's heart. I suspect something happened at the breeder that caused his small size.

And btw, he is 3.2 kg at 6.5 months now.
