Hi, I had to be away x 2 wks in early Aug. so neighbour fed my 12 yr old Bombay--type baby... only on her schedule, whatever it was. I expected a little bit of trouble coming home, and did have to be strict about meals, snax, etc, and he's generally been very good 'coming back'. However, there are days when I think I'll lose what's left of my mind because it's as if he was never on a schedule at all, even tho' e.g. day before he was good about it. And I feel so bad for him, but it's also driving me crazy... don't want him to be fat of course, and he actually has always had an amazing internal clock, but if anyone has any magic answer I'd be happy to hear it.

I don't know about magic but I think just be consistent, and patient, and maybe distract with toys and play when he gets off track :)

What exactly is going on with him? Is he waking you up early for breakfast? Or just always looking for food?
