Currently both kittens (4 months old) have been on Hills Prescription I/D for the past two months and finally their GI tract has calmed down. They were both having bouts of intermittent soft stools, gas, bloating. Now all that is gone and it's time to find another product for them to switch to.
I need something grain free, feather free, fish free and carrageen free. I found only one.... Wild Calling (either Rabbit or Buffalo). Both seem to have no carbs, and have all the right vitamins for a limited diet:
Rabbit, Water (Sufficient for Processing), Liver, Guar Gum, Brewers Dried Yeast, Taurine, Calcium Sulfate, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate [Source of Vitamin C], Thiamine Mononitrate [Source of Vitamin B1], Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride [Source of Vitamin B6], Riboflavin Supplement [Source of Vitamin B2], Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Minerals (Zinc Sulfate, Ferric Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide)

At Chewy, it's a 5.5 oz case of 24 for $40.99. My idea is to keep them on the next round of food for awhile and then go to a less expensive food. I originally wanted something with Pork in it as that is what Hills I/D is all about, but was unable to find that.
I went to their website and it said that it is "sourced in the US", not sure what that means.
Any ideas... trying to keep cost down a bit, LOL, if that's possible.
Thanks !!
