Long or short haired?

I recently adopted this boy from the shelter. Im curious on whay his coat length is going to be because he was so fluffy as a kitten.

The hairs longer then what my short hair has. Beautiful kitten by the way.

Going by the tail I think shorthair.

I'm going to be contrary and say medium hair. The tail is not full floof like a long-hair but it's body is definitely fluffier than a DSH.

I concur--that looks a lot like my Pandora when I first brought her indoors (she was approximately 11-12 weeks old at the time).She looked like this about a month later (approximately 4mo)--you can see that little "looks like a messy bed" and not super floofy tail, but floofier than DSH.

They look like two different kittens. The first one is blue and is obviously long hair. The second one is black and looks like a fluffy short hair to me so I would say either he’s a fluffy short hair or a medium hair. Both cute.

Right? He looked super fluffy. My old cat kinda looked like him as a kitten and was long haired but the thing thats making me think maybe short is he doesnt have the ear fluff

His tail and back fur also always look puffed like he has them raised
