This is my Suki boy. Trying to decipher if he will be long or short haired. As a kitten he looked as though he had longer fur than the rest of his siblings but now he’s looking shorter haired - as for his ear tuffs, toe fuzz, puffy tail, neck scruff & chest fluff these are showing otherwise to be long. I know he’s in the awkward pre-teen stage. What do you guys think?

I'm leaning to long hair. There's a wide range of the length of fur on long hair cats and although people say "medium" hair, technically there's only long or short.

Do you have a photo of his tail? That would help.

FYI he's darling looking! I especially like his two-tone nose.

I would say def a longhair, he may be on the shorter side of longhairs, love that sassy paw swipe, what a cutie ❤😻 but I think he will floof out in time prolly.

Long haired for sure but the fur length might be medium long. He looks a bit like my boy Percy

Thank you so much for your kind words, you’re so observant! I tried to find a picture of his tail which I attached.

Thank you for taking the time to respond & for recognizing his lil personality! ~ you nailed it when you said sassy. He’s fearless! Was hoping he was gonna be a fluffy man but I am loving his scruffy teenage stage. Thanks again for the love!

He reminds me of my Zena a dlh black white tux. I call him the feisty marshmallow because mostly he’s a sweet little soft marshmallow but he gets quite feisty at times and he gets that same look in his eyes. 😹🐾

He looks like a long hair with the ears, tail, and toe floof. Around 4-6 months many long haired cats can look shorter haired besides the above mentioned signs because the kitten fluff is gone but the adult coat has not started to come in either. It is hard to tell at this stage if they will be a really floofy long hair or on the shorter side of long hair that some people colloquially call medium hair even though there is only short or long genetically. My cats are all seem to be in that category. It was hard to tell at 4 months. Now they are between 9-12 months and they all are long haired but on the short side of long haired.
