Litter Box Problem

I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. My 4 month old kitten only uses the litter box when he is taken to it. He doesn’t have any accidents throughout the day but he won’t go until someone comes with him. Maybe he will grow out of it?

It’s great that he doesn’t have accidents! I would check though with a black light to make sure he hasn’t been urinating in spots that you can’t see. I would also add a small litterbox in each of the rooms that he frequents but for now keep reminding him he needs to go by setting him in the box every few hours. He will catch on and become confident enough to go by himself but it might take a few more weeks. If he still isn’t using it by himself then I would experiment with stretching out the time between you setting him in there to see if that will push him to use it on his own.
