I scoop out Mittens litter box every day and wash it really good with anti-bacterial soup once a week. Here is my problem: There are little stains that are hard to get off of the plastic. I feel like I don't get it clean enough. Are there any special cleaners you can use that won't hurt my baby? And, how often do you buy a new litter box for your cat(s)? Thanks a lot!

Soak your boxes in straight vinegar for about 30 minutes. Takes the stains right out. If they are to stained, just buy new boxes and toss the old ones in the garbage.

Thanks! Are there special cleaners that I can use, or is the anti-bacterial soap just fine?

I just use bleach and hot water. After the boxes dry I spray the bottom inside with PAM cooking spray then put litter in. Stops the waste from sticking to the litter pan.
