Hello all! This is my first post here.

My cat, a five and a half years old female, had her upper right canine tooth extracted recently. Now her lower right canine tooth sometimes catches her lip. Is it possible to file down and dull the tooth just a tiny bit in order to avoid the lip biting?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll wait and see for a couple of weeks or so. It's all still new to her, this tooth loss. As for the options, extracting the lower tooth comes to my mind, but it's out of the question, since it's perfectly healthy. Don't know what else could be done. Dulling the tooth just a tiny little bit seemed like a reasonable solution to me. Didn't know it could hurt her for good. I've had one of my teeth filed down a bit some time ago, and didn't feel a thing. But we're not the same, that I know |: I'll definitely ask my vet.
